Did We Just Draw Cinderella?

throw the records out. records dont mean anything during the ncaa tourney. ohio is a good team. i wouldnt be suprised if we lose tomm. i would be crushed tho..

we dont have shooters like them...
all of you guys saying that they cant shoot like that 2 games in a roll are crazy. if you ever played organized ball, you would know when you have a shooting game like that - you get hott, your confidence goes out the roof. ask steph curry. we were all waiting on him to go cold...

with that said, hopefully HOPEFULLY we act like a top 15 perimter defensive team tomm

If you told me before selection sunday that we would have to beat SDSU and Ohio to make it to the Sweet 16, I'd have booked that ticket. After I figured out that you actually meant Ohio and not Ohio St. that is. Go Vols tomorrow.

An Ohio player interviewed on ESPN admitted that Georgetown was the better team, offering the "any given night" explanation. Vols swagger and defense make the difference. Vols 65, Ohio 59

The only person on our team with swagger is Wheezy and maybe BMaze. Hopson def doesn't have it.

Good point. I'm honestly just thinking about Saturday's game anyway. A 3rd Sweet 16 appearance in 4 years is not so bad. When and if we beat Ohio, I can start really focusing on whether we can break through the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history.

Have we not made it to the Elite Eight before?? I was thinking we made it once??:ermm:

Has no one else realized that an epic rematch may be in our future? If we beat Ohio, then most likely we will face Ohio State. Who else in here wants some revenge after throwing that game away a few years back?

I would have to say we most definately are better off playing the Bobcats. What are the chances they shoot 59% from the field and 56% from behind the arc again? Plus usually these "cinderellas" don't win a 2nd game.

It's going fairly deep into the tourney that makes them a Cinderella.

nope, never.

Am I the only one who thinks we have an excellent shot to beat Ohio State? I really like that matchup

Tennessee should win the next game by 10+, which will set up nicely for a showdown with OSU in the Sweet 16. I don't like that matchup at all, but you know CBP will want some tourney revenge on Thad Matta

If Chism and Hopson show up, we've got a reasonable shot vs. tOSU. Big "if," though. We're just as likely to get blown out. Who knows, if Michigan can beat the Buckeyes, maybe UC-Santa Barbara can, too.

Time for cinderella to get her kiss and wake up---the party's over! UT wins easy in a blowout.

Tennessee's 3pt field goal defense is 11th in the nation (out of 334).

Georgetown's 3pt field goal defense is 95th in the nation.

I would be surprised if UT allows Ohio to shoot 59% on 3s. We all know UT can randomly implode and lose to an inferior opponent by 20, but I just don't see it happening this time. Looks like there should be another trip to the Sweet 16 with a shot at the Elite 8.
