Did we have alot of recruits at the game?

I was booing.... but it was for sitting on the ball and being conservative with 40 seconds left in the half. I like prefer to boo the officials and coaches and not the players.

Im glad the team woke up and put it to the gatas. ...but booing is a natural reaction to bad football in a huge game. They sowed bad football and reaped the boos. They sowed a can of whoop arse in 2nd half and reaped praising. Nature of the beast with a passionate and hungry fan base.

Maybe those boos helped motivate the team? Hmmm?

I don't think any recruit will commit just because we won one football game. There are relationships that are built with recruits way before this football game was played.

some one liked this post?..wtf

If you think we should have gotten aggressive at that point in the game then that says more about your understanding of the game than it does about the play call...my goodness!!!

Wrong. I know plenty about football. What it does say is I am more aggressive and the coaches and perhaps you are more conservative. Don't pivot the conversation .....

Young recruits attention spans are fairly short thank goodness. What they will pull away from this game is the intensity and the deafening roar when we pulled away and executed in the second half and the classy celebration of the fans and team after. Boos are part of the game....necessary? not always, but when the players dont execute plays that would have blown the game open or at the very least kept it close I think the fans have the right to let em know they need to play to their abilities and in a hurry.

Exactly. They are going to remember that and it may end up hurting more than the win helped.

That is ridiculous. Were you cheering at half or did you want the team to jog off the field in utter silence? If you cheered the first half performance, then you are a special kind of delusionist. I voiced my displeasure with the team at halftime, but also voiced my excitement when they began to execute without turnovers, a stupid early penalty, inability to wrap-up, poor blocking, and a number of dropped passes. The team responded in the 2nd half and the crowd acknowledged that. I guess you would prefer CBJ to hand out participation trophies at halftime to keep from hurting their feelings.

I was in total agreement to run the clock out at the end of the first half. We were on the board at that point. Take what little spark we generated to the locker room, regroup, and fight in the second half. A turnover at that point of the game would have been catastrophic.

Not sure there could be a better type of game for a recruit to see. The boos show the passion of our fans and any decent player knows that substandard play is not acceptable. They can see dropped passes and such and understand frustration. They also witnessed VOLNATION and Neyland's best as they rose up as the 12th man to support an otherworldly second half. I can't imagine the feeling of watching that performance and thinking that one day I could be on that hallowed field...

Yeah and they got to hear the fans boo at the half. Embarrassing.

And they got to see the players sitting on the wall singing with thousands of fans.

The former (your take on the situation) is just motivation on their part to make this Program even stronger moving forward; the later is motivation to see the results of their efforts.

You know, this is such an interesting approach --

If you've convinced yourself going in to the game, and if you've convinced yourself with, say 2 minutes prior to half, that you can come back in the 2nd half from such as a 1st half 21-3 deficit, then why can't you approach it as also being able to come back from a 28-3 deficit (with out it turning in to a catostrophe)?

I'm fine with the way it was approached, but I'm just saying that you can also approach it with confidence that you're offense can score in 40 seconds without turning the ball over -- I mean, that play clock means "play" (not run to the clubhouse -- but again, I'm fine with it).

I hope every one of those boo birds has a wife or friend who never let them live that down.

The three kids who caught those td's??? Oh they grew up watching there favorite football team get throttled by this team.

Josh Malone dropped an easily catchable (but still off) pass in the first half.

To be able to influence the outcome of a game like this and stepping up late to nab two HUGE passes.

I can't imagine what that guy was feeling. Jennings also, but I posted this because of the boo's and he didn't really deserve that.

All these players that gave their all for Tennessee today got to wrap the game up swarmed with love and praise. They stepped up and got what they deserved. *wipes eyes* so proud... Thank You players....

What are you talking about? Dobbs was hitting wide open receivers, they were just dropping the ball. We had 2 time outs, it was 2nd and 1. Run the stop and go with a pump fake and we would have scored. Coaches saw this during half time and threw the ball deep which resulted in the win
