Thats great news, another 4 star OL for us. We will have the best OL in the sec for the next 5 years the way its looking. What grade will he be in? did he redshirt or?

redshirt sophomore this year. if he doesn't play and has to sit transfer year, he will play as a RS Junior next year.

He was sick during the fall and has to gain back weight. Staff has no idea if he can play or not so he has a lot of work to do and to show staff.

I remember him from his HS days when he was a very good OL. We tried very hard to recruit him then. Just shows that you never know how things will work out.

I have yet to hear if the NCAA approved his hardship. Is this true? Link? If not, he will sit a year before being a contributor.

Thx and I was thinking the same as there is precedent. Just have not heard if had been though.

two different sitautions.

Tyler's Dad was sick. He died well after Tyler came to UT.

Alex's Dad has already died..

Keep in mind, anything the NCAA does has no precedent. everything is a separate case and can't be predicted on how they rule.

He's from Franklin, Tn just South of Nashville.

His Father passed away so he transferred to Tennessee so he can be much closer to his family.

This hardship case is pretty obvious so there should be no problems with him being able to play this coming season.

The Irish expected great things out of him and he redshirted last season as a freshman so he'll have 3 years at least to play for UT.

I've heard nothing of any injuries or sickness about him.

VFL...GO BIG ORANGE!!!

ND was all for letting him transfer without sitting so he should be fine unless the NCAA tries to make his life rough.
