Did UK refs miss targeting call?

Targeting is the worst written rule in College football!! They need to be able to use discretion on the ejection/suspensions. Half (if not more) of the targeting calls, are unavoidable situations when going low to make a tackle and the running back lowers his head. This never gets called on the offensive player in college, and rarely to you see a roughing call in the NFL for lowering the helmet.

What needs to occur is more targeting calls on RBs, WRs, and QBs who duck their heads and lead with the crown of the helmet as well when they expect contact. More targeting calls against offensive players.

in the strictest form of targeting, yes they missed one. In the real world no they did not miss that call.

Not really but they made a really bad horse collar call…it’s like the ref didn’t know the runners head from his ass..

Nope. Both guys lowered their heads and Warren was no longer a defenseless player at that point.

I've always wondered why late hits rarely get called in the end zone, but it is called often out of bounds on the sidelines.
