Did Tee Really start this ?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Trey Wallace reporting turns out to be true. I do think him and Tee are friendly with each other.

I don’t know what Tee’s endgame is here because it’s pretty much tying his coaching future in the short term to Tennessee in hopes that if Pruitt is fired, the new staff keeps him.

Or he’s just trying to Frank Underwood it and get the head coaching job himself.

Honestly after seeing the Auburn debacle, i see a path where we just ease into Tee as head coach with Fulmer has his support system and unlimited money to make staffing hires. From a PR angle, would be hard to garner Schiano magnitude outrage if Tee wound up as head coach. “We traded that Bammer for a Vol”
Yeah - that isn't going to happen and it also better not happen. Right behind Fulmer naming himself as coach - can't think of a less qualified candidate. I like him personally but was a terrible OC and no head coaching experience.

The same reasons Fulmer shouldn't be an AD here, if you take the fact that Tee played here out of the conversation then we're not even having a conversation. Again, I appreciate his time here as a player however it needs to stay that way.

Here's the issue with bringing Tee in, you're going to have every former player thinking they deserve a spot on staff. This isn't like coaching 8U peewee football or high school football, this isn't a hobby, its a profession that requires extremely smart, manipulative and dedicated people. It's not some hang out, its a 90 hour a week job in season and a 60 hour week job during the offseason. Then you're going to have every former player demanding full access to the program, again I appreciate what these guys have done for this place however you want to talk about chaos and a quick way to land on the NCAA radar. Then it comes time to fire Tee, who's gonna do it? Do you know how many people would be butt hurt and I'm not talking about a few fanboys on this board, I'm talking about people who matter to this program. I'm hoping Fulmer retires soon so UT doesn't have to go through this with him but I'm starting to think they will have to pry him out of there.

Not only that, but we've had all the experiments we need with up and comers...first time coaches, etc. We need a proven winner with winning experience, preferably SEC or other major conference experience.

Tennessee is on the brink of not coming back and I'm not being dramatic, it's already lost a generation of fans. If they don't get rid of Pruitt and get this fixed then it'll be too far gone to fix because no one will care.

Paul F-baum said he thought there had to be someone inside the program informing on Pruitt and others. Could it be Tee? I seriously doubt it. That's not how he rolls.

Your coach talk makes me think maybe look outside the envelope. Maybe your Vollers should get a head coach from the CFL. Like TigerCats' Orlondo Steinaur or Roughriders Craig Dickenson? Sometimes a different look, a way of thinking, and being new helps to win more games. But I still don't know what I am talking about since I am still new to American football. My ideas might be strange or crazy, maybe both.

Why do people think just because someone played at a particular school they would make a great coach at that school? That is mind blowing to me. Did they sleep at a Holiday Inn also?

Sure Phil is going to cover Tee, after all he made him a millionaire
How do you know they won't make a good coach??? Exactly,,, you don't !! A good head coach is only as good as the coaches he surrounds himself with. That being said, I believe in the Admin to make the best decision for the University. Go Vols!

Tee still thinks that half of Vol Fans are "racist" because they don't love him like Manning.
While some of that may be true since racism clearly still exists, Peyton was a record breaking QB who helped turn the entire program around and an NFL HOF'er who continues to represent UT and support the university. Tee was not. So it should be pretty obvious to everyone why.

They haven't been making the best decisions for over a decade!

Don't forget that Tee also swayed his son away from playing for his Alma Mater.
I don't blame him. I love UT, but I would have a hard time telling my son to go to UT right now vs Clemson. Amari will be drafted and if he was at UT with our QB situation, he would be lucky to be picked up on a practice squad due to lack of production.

Just curious, what would be the reaction of the VolNation faithful if the infractions turned out to be serious enough to fire Pruitt, and Chadwell or Healy was hired as the next coach?

I see no reason Tee Martin shouldn’t be given every chance to follow Pruitt regardless of the ending. Tee knows just as much football as Freeze, Chadwell or Napier. I’d love to see Tee as our head coach! The players love him, coaches around him support him.
