Do you guys think that Santos committing might have opened the door for recruiting in Texas? I know most SEC schools focus on recruiting FL, LA, AL, GA and the Carolinas. Seems we're using a different strategy and going into Texas and selling the "play in the SEC" instead of going to Florida and fighting for kids that everyone in the SEC is trying to recruit.

Great get for us. Keep 'em coming. Dooley get big with him. Doing work.

I'll reserve my judgment on this players for 2 or 3 years.

1. They haven't made it in yet
2. UT's success with Texas high School players isn't good

Hopefully Moore turned that around

McNeil and Santos are players. Check their youtube vids. Santos looks like he's ready now but, he's playing high school players. Very fast and dominant. I think we're on a championship run w/in the next few.

D Moore might have opened eyes. It will cost alot not to break the longhorns heart when the NCAA gets to them. Then the 300mil. and ESPN won't be able to stop the flood that is SEC dominance.

I agree they both seem like good players. I'm not going to underestimate the difficulty of winning a championship. A lot has to go right in order for that to happen, but we're def moving in the right direction.

We're getting not just depth but quality depth. Most of the kids we've gotten under Dooley have had offers from all the major programs. I'll take that over any recruiting website.

i'm no guru, but i wouldn't underestimate the power of momentum. i call it the 'mo, and Dooley and his assistants have it right now.

He wanted to play in the SEC. Does UT still pull this(these) recruits with TAMU in the SEC? I sure hope so. Getting Texas kids make me excited even though it hasn't panned out well in the past ;)

He knows ATM is coming to the SEC. Maybe these kids like the coaches and direction the team is going? Just a thought. This staff doesn't recruit ambles types.

SEC is the best conference and these kids know UT is on its way up.. CDD is smart to go into TX and gobble up these kids who want in

How do you compare a Dooley recruit of today with a Fulmer recruit on 5-15 years ago? Apples to oranges. The Chief wanted small and fast except at DT. Dooley/Wilcox want big, strong, and good speed at all positions except the secondary.

The better recruits in Texas are not dumb. If they don't go Longhorn they want to be in the SEC or PAC 12 so they can be seen by all of the scouts against the best competition. We will get our share because of the quality coaches, players, UT tradition, facilities, etc.

In the words of Jack Harbaugh....."everybody looks good on the highlight tape"....and yes I think we are definitely headed in the right direction

I just mentioned this principle on another post. I love the recruiting & possible small little pipelines & precedent to get dudes from TX. I know the SEC tries already for LA, but LSU owns it, so I also love when we recruit down there & nab a guy. Digging the class this year.
