Did or has anyone noticed

Can’t fire him with 8-5 possibly. Kentucky might be another final nail in his coffin.

Maybe he is currently in talks about getting hired at a different school and knows that he will leave on his own accord and will land on his feet.

I used to think failed HCs had to do penance as a coordinator again for a couple of years before catching on somewhere as a HC again. That went away when the South Florida Bulls hired Charlie Strong after his disaster he had at Texas. CBJ could catch on somewhere else rather quickly OR Kelly at Notre Dame saves him and puts him on that staff.

Sure, maybe we can keep him around next year too so he can start the SEC season 0-4 for the second time in a row.

Besides, his coffin has already been nailed shut. I don't see any additional room for more nails.

Butch is here to stay. I honestly believe Currie is going to let him finish this year and likely next year. Butch knows he is going to be padding his bank account and that whatever he does he is safe.

I’m starting to believe the same. Everyone has to remember, Butch is a pretty darn good used car salesman. That’s got to be the only reason his past recruiting classes have been so good. He probably used the same BS on the new Athletic Director. He must’ve convinced him that this year must be some sort of “fluke.” “Blah blah blah......new staff.....blah blah injuries......blah blah back to back 9-4 seasons.....blah blah look at my bowl record.....blah blah.”

He won’t be back. Common sense should make this clear.

Common sense is not very common! Common sense should have told us not to hire jones from the start. Common sense should have told us, after GA-he needed to go. Common sense should have told us, the day after BAMA, he should have been packing. When dealing with UT's AD, common sense is not very common.:hi:

This is why we need him to win a few games to improve his stock for other schools to come talking. AD has to stand behind Butch to show we aren't knee-jerk gunslingers, as well as to get Butch his next job and save the University money on getting rid of him.
If only he had been successful getting another job this past offseason.....

Everyone knows Butch will not be retained beyond this year by now. Would not be surprised to see Dormady transfer to wherever Butch ends up.

If we hire a Great Coach, many high quality players will follow him, if dormandy wants to leave to be with butch, that is a price (nickel and dime) most would gladly pay-today.:hi:

Well, surely there is a high school somewhere in the US (possibly Maine or New Hampshire?) that is looking for an Assistant Coach? You know, somewhere the internet and TV coverage is spotty?

He knows the inevitable and has accepted it. Maybe his agent informed him of his next coaching gig.

Maybe he can make a lateral move to direct the pride of the southland band

Did or has anyone noticed that Butch Jones looked a lot less tense and stressed during the game Saturday ? He also seems that way during his presser also..And at today press conference he looks relaxed like he must know something..Either when he is going to be fired or Lord help us Currie has told him he will be around another year.. Any thoughts on this ? Just wondering what y'all think..

shouldn't be stressed anymore since he knows he doesn't have a job. at this point he's just on cruise control until it's official

Or he has been constipated and finally passed that rascal. He looks like a toddler crapping his pants when he is on the sidelines.

If he wins five games in a row and the bowl game he will be back. He want be leaving until we lose another game. He can still save himself he needs five straight wins to end the season.

Butch Jones is here for the rest of the season. I'm just trying to enjoy watching some of our great athletes fly around (and we do have some of those). His fate is in the hands of the university, so I'm just chillin.

He chose the wrong profession. He should be touring the nation as a motivational speaker because football is definitely not his thing. He is the most inept coach I have ever seen. When players continually digress then you really have to question your ability as a coach.

He's accepted his fate. Nothing to struggle with at this point. Stand up straight and shake hands on your way out.

If, and that's a big if, Butch rallies the team and wins out, he will not be fired. He could leave on his own, but he won't be fired.
