Did Meyer run up the score?

So, had we done that to Ainge... Taken some cheap hits on him in the pile, it would be perfectly ok? Umm, no.

Exactly. We would have called for Meyer's head had any of his players did that. It's one thing to play hard, but its another to be a disgrace to the game and "Try" and take someone out.

Every hit is intentional. I didn't mean a late hit or one meant to injure, but some fair and square hits. Our guys just couldn't even do that.

I think he did run up the score. He is obviously not concerned about UT kicking the gators butt in the future so why should he call off the dogs?

"our defense quit"

I don't agree. Our defense was EXHAUSTED. Did anyone notice that our defense spent the entire 3rd quarter on the field in the 90 degree heat?

I think alot of teams would rollover at that point.

Now alot of that was self-inflicted, but I think it set the stage for the 4th Q meltdown.

Meyer is a Ahole. But our defense and this team is a disgrace to this university.Meyer just made phil look like the inept coach he is.No we won't ever get a chance to run the score up on them. They won't ever be as bad as we are now.

Didn't hear much about this when we put 70 up on La Tech! And its sad to think we are in that category! But we are closer to the La Techs of the world than we are the UFs.

I always wonder why this only impacts the defense. Shouldn't Florida's offense also been exhausted?

i think that The Cryer probably feels inferior living in the shadow of the great $teve $uperior, and is trying to prove something.

game was clearly over, vols had stopped going for it on 4th down.

if i was a Gator (omagod!! what a nightmare!) i would have been pissed at unnecessarily exposing teblow to injury.

i think that at that point the vols should have played man on the corners and brought everyone else with the sole intent of ringing teblow's wind chimes.

it may not happen in my lifetime (Im 37), but one day that last touchdown will come back to haunt Urban

Of course he ran up the score - going for it on fourth down when the game was completely over. Done at the risk of injury to his first team players - but no matter how good he is, someone will be along better. What goes around comes around. (See La Tech)

There were boatloads of high profile college recruits at that game. Urban sent a message.
He sent a message loud and clear. He sent a message that he sees UT as nothing more than a cupcake who will not be able to even the score in the foreseeable future. And he is absolutely correct.

UF beat UT by 1 point in 06. In 07 they blew UT out. I do not think the talent level at UF rose so quickly. It was coaching plain and simple. Bring in the right guy and UT is no longer a cupcake to UF. That just my opinion
