Did I really just see that?

We had an open 3 for the win. Y'all blow **** completely out of proportion.[/

our offensive production is what blows we hung a big 57 points on them and your defending a shot at the buzzer for the win that didn't draw iron.... yeah were an offensive juggernaut. wished it had gone in though

end of the day we got an open three point shot from a guy shooting 41% for the season. if he hit it georgia wouldn't have had time to get their own shot and we would have been praising how great it was. our seniors combined for 6 points and we held frazier to 4-13 shooting.

even great drawn up plays aren't always executed (inbounds play where williams lost ball on lob). what else were we going too do post williams up and get doubled team for a open three which we had already. or have our freshmen guards drive and attempt to hit a tough layup in which they haven't consistently hit all year. watch out next year will be tough. go vols!

dude...I hate to bash but damn...call a time out.,..set up hubbs in any form...isolation...post him up...2 man game with williams....even though he's not been perfect for the last few games...give your senior and best player the ball...if he's doubled he'll get it to the open man...I've seen better grammar school coaching in the last minutes of games...another year with this staff will be the same ole'...good luck with that...

Very good coach for 99% of the game at UT. When it came down to the last 10 seconds; however, he was very sub-par. Bottom line: This wasn't even close to the worst end of game play in UT history.

10 seconds is only 0.417% of an entire game, so you meant to say 99.583% (OT notwithstanding).
Besides that, most of our victories under Bruce were won before the last 10 seconds of the game.

Also anyone who thinks hubbs is the best player on this team needs to refrain from all posts about how Barnes can coach better. You can't even tell who the best player on the team is

I remember Ramar Smith getting blocked by Greg Oden at the end of the game.

Good God...

The OP framed it as the "worst last possession" ever, and the replies have been about bad last possessions. He never said Pearl was bad, nor was that the topic.

Possibly the worst last possession in the history of UT basketball with time- outs left. What was Barnes doing, saving them for next year? Why we pay these coaches millions of dollars never ceases to amaze me. Hopefully our new AD will start making some wholesale changes because we have some highly overpaid coaches in our Athletics Dept.

That's the way to tell em' coach.

I watched that game with a Buckeye whilst in Phoenix, AZ (because their fans go there to make a fortune or to die). I talked way more trash than I should have leading up to that 2nd half collapse. Everybody bleeding orange saw Oden swooping in for that block. It was like watching a bus crash in slow-mo.

Wth is wrong with you guys?

It was a hell of a look and Barnes even said it after the game. Said he would take it in that spot every time

Yep we were rolling in the 1st half. Raining 3s. Fun game except the end result.

that's not coaching...it's watching...seriously...20 sec left and a time out and watch them pass it around outside for a 4 or 5 man to shoot...I feel for the kids...Barnes should just walk away, because he's forgot how to coach...

OTOH, Barnes did a great job telling them to foul that sucky free throw shooter.

Yup, team was going for the win. Hubbs could barely walk and was done, Lew had fouled out, Williams can't be trusted to make 2 free throws...play was for either a guard to drive or a good look from 3, can't ask for much better of a look than the one Schofield got.

Loved CBP during those years but didn't realize how valuable Forbes and Shay were to those teams. Don't think Bruce will ever have that same success without them.
