I was not at the game, but at kickoff I thought I heard their PA guy say " It's football time in the bluegrass".
Did anybody else hear this?
Can't they come up with something of their own.

Considering the fact that we own them, he should have said "It's football time in Tennessee!"

Did they sing My Sweet Kentucky Home? One of the more depressing sounding football songs.

How about, when the PA guy says "that's a gain for ____ yards for another FIRST DOWN KENTUCKY", with the UK fans screaming it in unison?

That gets old after the first time. I always yell, "that's another 4TH DOWN KENTUCKY." They always enjoy that.

Yeah. They also formed the "power K" striking fear into everyone not pulling for Kentucky.

I remember that from the 07 game. Their band just kind of runs around. They don't do formations when they go out on the field.

So get this. I live in Malaysia, and I went to the supermarket today where I saw... a Kentucky Wildcat shirt? Think that is odd?? Have you ever seen a Malaysia soccer shirt in your neighborhood?

Anyway, I picked it up to show my wife and it fell on the floor. I enjoyed the irony, but picked it up nicely and put it back on the rack. I then remembered that many of the "reject clothes" get sent to foreign countries. Whether it is a bit flawed, or the wrong superbowl winner, or just couldn't sell in the country of origin. I then thought, "Well that seems about right."

I started laughing when I heard them refer to it as the "Power K". I'm pretty sure when I was there two years ago, they just called it the "Block K".

And the bells during their halftime show were ridiculously loud.

It's nice that little Malaysian kids will have UK's "The streak stops in 09" shirts to wear.

I like how they have to spell out C-A-T-S in the beginning of the game, it's like a spelling lesson for their fans! Anyway, if you couldn't SEE the band doing the "power k" you wouldn't know that they were playing. Small, uninspiring band~they did nothing to fire up their fans!

I had never noticed the "power K" thing until the game Saturday . . . gee, wonder where they got that from?

I had to listen on Sirrus xm to the game, cause I was at a cousins house, who didnt have it, and those homers on the air killed me. When Hard ran in his GW TD, they said, " well theres the game, Hadesty, ran it in." you'd thought someone died. LOL

Ridiculous! We would never do anything like that, you know, some thing like "V, O, L, S, V-O-L-S, Go Vols, Go!" Ludicrous. :p

It would have been a nice, and appropriately respectful gesture for him to have said, "It's football time in Tennessee in Kentucky!"
