Did fans chant F U florida?

They're supposed to. As long as their not my grandpa's age sure I hope you had a horrible time and caught crap from everyone.

I expect to have fans talk smack to rival fans on the road, it comes with the territory. If you have thin skin you should stick to home games. If you can't handle LSU fans yelling "TIGAH BAIT!!" in your face, don't go to Baton Rouge.

For the most part my travels to Knoxville have always been fun, with little to no major incidents...1998 being the exception. That's the only time I feared for my safety following a football game.

Sounded like it was the entire student section. I was in section v and not a single person was joining in

I am by no means defending muschamp ' s comment after the game but I suspect it was caused by the chanting.

There's little about Muschamp worth defending.

UT's students chanted FU Florida in 2010 when Meyer was our HC.

UT's students are an embarrassment, and if UF students did the same on national TV I'd have the same opinion of them.

Classless chant.

I was at home so not offended personally. But as I heard it on the tv, really my first thought was that the fans doing that were embarrassing the University of Tennessee.

If I heard that at a UF game I know I'd feel embarrassed by it.

You must be embarrassed a lot. I've been to several stadiums and FL was by far the worst. After one game, FL fans were trying to turn over our bus. One older lady fell and had to get stitches in her head.

Hope in the near future you can find something to be more proud of. You and the others not only embarrassed yourselves, but our great University.

Tennessee has always been among the highest class fan bases, but just because we played against a coach with no class, you did not make him look worse. It made us look like we were in his class level.

If you want class you should go watch a game of polo or something. It's football. The players are cocky and arrogant typically, and the fans are rowdy.

Sounds a lot like our trip to Athens in 1995...or Baton Rouge in 1997 and 2007...or Lexington in 2007...or Tallahassee in (pick a year).

Stick to home games.

That's just terrible. I haven't gone to a game in about 7 years and have never heard such a thing, but obviously if that really happened that is really awful and embarrassing to uf

For those of you who want to know how one of our lettermen feels, read this:

"I was so proud to run through the T again today with all my VFL teammates and see the checkerboard stadium; however, I was disgusted with those of our fan base who chose to be classless and curse our opponents today in unison to the point that people on TV could clearly hear what was being chanted. I'm ashamed of those of you who participated in this and call yourselves fans. Our football program was disgraced today by your lack of character and you embarrassed those of us who proudly wore the orange jerseys"

Guess what disgraced our football program even more? Losing, so how about start winning, and there's your solution.

Have any quotes from the team that played the game that actually matters?

Maybe you should concern yourself with your own classless pos fans and head coach.

We are on the same page with Muschamp...he can leave tomorrow as far as I'm concerned.

UT students made asses of themselves on national TV yesterday, not UF. Concern yourself with that.

I wonder how many people in this thread have ever been to UT games and sat in or close to the student section. When I was a student, I heard that chant every SEC game.

I've been a UT fan for the last 15 years since my son enrolled at (and later was graduated from) UT. He is a fine person with a good job in Knoxville now. Being at UT games did not turn him into an immoral depraved punk. Just the opposite! I attended another unnamed SEC school in the 60s. As students, we chanted much worse things, as did Gator fans and bammer fans and Georgia fans. Nothing has changed with students, and UT has not suddenly sunk into the depraved pits of hell, in spite of what I am reading here.

I have heard fans of all the big football schools chant FU and worse directed at my alma mater and just about all the others. So what. Emotions get out of hand when bad things happen repeatedly. It was spontaneous, not planned, and the UT cheerleaters were not leading it.

On the other hand, down in Tuscaloser, the cheerleaders do lead an organized and school approved cheer at the end of every game: Rammer Jammer. In this cheer, which my family and I have had to listen to every time we have lost to bammer, here or there, for about 20 years says: "Hey Vols! Hey Vols! Hey Vols… Alabama just beat the hell out of you!" Kids all the way through all adult age groups right up to grandma and grandpa ALL chant this after every bammer victory. Real class.
And you'll hear worse in Gainesville if you are brave enough to travel there to a game wearing Tennessee orange.

Tennessee fans have always in my opinion been the best fans in the SEC, bar none. We still are. Lay off, holier than thou Pharisees!

Yeah, no.

Everyone's talking about UT's student section friend.

Next time UF students chant "FU Tennessee" in unison, on national TV, I'll be the first person to call them out for being classless jackasses.

And guess how many **** will be given by this UT fan when UF chants "**** Tennessee"? Not a one...big deal, get over it. Florida is widely regarded as having the trashiest fan base of any sec team so gtfo

Your team won...you should be celebrating. Why are you on an opponent's board concerning yourself with crowd profanity?

So let me get this straight. I want you to think about this long and hard cause I know you're a Gator and not too bright. So you think students yelling FU at a ballgame is embarrassing but having fans physically assault opposing fans to the point it requires a hospital visit is just big boy sec football and if you don't like it you stay at home?
