Did fans chant F U florida?

Im sure a lot of it was students, but it was a little too loud to just be the student section.

I was walking out from the north endzone area and we didn't hear it at all.

Who cares really. 102k people and a few thousand start a chant, mainly made up of students. Ya'll are making it a bigger deal and imo, taking out your frustrations by calling other vol fans ignorant rednecks.

Exactly! Every fan base does it...ours just happened to be on the high and mighty ESPN SEC Network against a RIVAL!

It will be ok...3 days from now it will have been forgotten about.

Yes it was mostly students BUT...they have a microphone on the band that pipes band through the speakers which made it sound VERY LOUD! I was opposite of band upper deck and it was crazy . Totally uncalled for and classless in my opinion. If it has been done before in student section at least it didn't sound through the whole stadium .

The ones who did it and the ones who think it was awesome are rednecks.

Tired of everyone trying to tell ppl how to act. Maybe if people cared more about winning than playing nice we might be getting somewhere. I could care less about being hospitable. Do you think they are going to be nice when we go to Gainesville?

I'm 28 and I can remembet hearing chants like this when i was about 10. Nothing has changed.

I agree. The Pollyanna notion that a football game should be a church picnic is a little silly IMO. But an FU chant so loud that I have to mute the TV so my 6 year old won't hear it is a little ridiculous.

For me it's more the situation. It's pathetic to do it after you lose for the 10th time in a row and should have won; it reeks of sore loser and mega butt hurt.

I'm not telling anybody how to act. I'm just telling you that if you chant something like that, you're not doing anybody any favors. I love how I'm painted as the fan police for this as if it's such a controversial position to ask somebody to show a little class.

The team already sucks on the field. That doesnt mean we also have to suck at life.

Let's be honest it felt good, I don't want to be known as the "classy" fan base or the "hospitable" fan base, I want UT fans to be dirty mean and hard, demoralize the teams.

This is mainly because of the higher class fans losing interest over the last few years. This has allowed a different caliber of fan to gain access to tickets.

It appears the fan base is ummm.... Mega butt hurt.., look at this site.... It's falling apart minus the five fans saying the usual we are young and playing good same ole same ole crap.... Yeah I think it's safe to say at this point we are very sore losers and butt hurt

What do you expect?

CBJ put everything on the line for this. Clausen leading the Vol Walk. Al Wilson giving pre-game speech. 200+ unofficial visitors. Need to break the streak.

Team came out and looked awful. Made mistakes all over the place and playing against probably the worst QB in Florida football history.

Offense was handed the game on a silver platter and couldn't muster anything.

We deserved to lose and we will never be more than an 8 or 9 win program under Bajakian. Fans realize this at the end of the UF game and let frustration out on Florida.

It isn't Florida as much as Florida is just the representation of where Tennessee football is. You hire a MAC/Big East hackjob... don't be surprised when that is actually what you get.
