Did Crompton get hit in the head or something?

Am I a Crompton fan? "No not really", but he is a Vol, and there is a strong chance he will be the QB.. I say we need to get behind him and support him.. Same thing with the other 2 QBs... Same thing happened with me on Kiffin, I wasn't crazy about him when we hired him, but he was a Vol and I determined I really liked him once I started supporting him... I really think Clawfense had something to do with our downward spiral last year, not just JC, NS, or BC.... Good luck to all 3 of them

Support our QB? Yes I will.

I just remember how awful Ainge was under Randy Sanders. Then came Cutcliffe and Ainge turned it around big time. JC can do it. He is talented enough.

The only positive I want to see from Crompton is sitting on the bench or walking the sideline carrying refreshments to the players who are on the field.

Don't care who is out there leading the team. Just want the best guy, and if it's Crompton...then I support him.

It's funny how we were all ready for Crompton to lead this team. And now a lot of the faithful don't want him playing. We need to really look at the clawfense as the problem.

But they will say the system didnt make him throw it out of bounds or whatever but i think it was being confused with the system and not having the confidence. I think he will turn out to be good this year. I agree with you

If you don't know what's going on you'll make some dumb decisions and play horrible. I saw him throw some good passes last season in that crappy offense. Also saw receivers drop a lot of passes and not getting open. Plus we couldn't run the ball. There were a lot of factors.

I completely agree. If you stuck Teblow out there without knowing what he was supposed to do he wouldnt be worth a damn either, im not saying Crompton is as good as Teblow but without confidence no one will be worth a damn

It wasn't his offense, it was his abysmal playcalling. If it had been at least serviceable, we'd have went bowling last year.

Rmember the UCLA game when the cameras showed Clawson trying to make a decision. He looked like a scared child. Pathetic.

I wonder what was in that briefcase Clawful always carried at the Vol Walk. Certainly wasn't a playbook of any kind.

It really is hard to believe that a top QB recruit could be as incrompitent as he looked last season. But, man, he dug a lot of trenches with his arm last year. On the other hand, I saw him give (and take) some big licks so we know he has a bit of toughness.

Whoever the QB is...we should hope for the best and expect something less.....until CLK has his guy in place.
