I didn't watch the CBJ Show but some who did seem to think he did. Anyone who watched it, I'd like to hear more about this.

Yeah me too. Not suprising though, CBJ has to make someone pay for him not looking like Gods gift to Football and the University of Tennessee.

If he did then he knows his days are numbered. You don't do that unless you're trying to save yourself. I like Butch and I want him to succeed here but I think he is in over his head at this point. I just don't see him surviving now. Currie has said he wants us back to competing for Championships and unless he wins the East this year I just don't think it will be enough to save his job and I hate that. The man loves Tennessee and has fixed a lot of problems and built a very good base with players.

It doesn't matter who he blames. He has reached his Plateau and the whole world of sports knows it. His days are numbered.

Well stated. I've always liked Butch, and I've sincerely appreciated all he has done to rebuild this program, but he's topped out. It's past time for the program to take the next step.

That is the frustrating part. Everybody knows he is an average coach but his job is probably secure because he is merely better than the previous coach.

He should throw himself under there for hiring Scott when there were better options available and interested.

He said he was disappointed in not scoring in the red zone and when we had it 1st and goal. Said "you've gotta score, you've gotta RUN it in there...." lol. It was as though he was talking as a fan and had no control over what play was called there.

That's pretty pathetic if true.

Can we hire Sun AM CBJ to coach instead of Sat PM CBJ?

I watched it, he kept saying that you have to run it when you have 4 plays from the 1 yard line.

Sure seemed to me that he put that on Scott.

Butch still needs to go, don't care who's fault it was. Actually, your the head coach you should have pulled rank and override the pass play calls, you do have final say on all calls...offense and defense.

Butch needs to take full blame for the loss. He does not need to throw his coaches under the bus. Man up Butch.

He definitely wasn't taking a ownership of it.

They skipped over the entire drive on the goal line, and he just said you have to be able to run the football there..???
