Did Butch slip up during press conference?

During his press conference today....when speaking about the ejections he stated by rule the ejections would not carry over to the “FINAL” game. Next week isn’t the final game of the season....so do you think he slipped up? Or did I miss something?

It's been 8+ hours since the presser. I'm sure there would be many threads if what he said could be twisted, changed, adjusted, or taken out of context to insult the Vols, it would have already happened by some Loyal Vol Fan.

CBJ is not a robot after all.

He most definitely said "for the final game." You don't say that unless that game is an end to something....

Lol if they didn't fire him after a loss then I don't think he would say final in a game we should win.

Butch knows he’s gone.

Of course he’s not going publicly say, “I’m getting fired soon.”

Unless it’s by accident.

Everyone knows he is done.....however, I am convinced that was a Freudian slip and tells us this is his last game at the helm.

I think they are letting him coach through Homecoming, and then they will make the firing official.

It is imperative to Butch to have those players back for the last game. He made a deal with Currie the Gambler..

1) Win his last 2 games and walk with full package. Lost to KY, this one is out.
2) Win one of two and he gets 50% of the package. Needs to win Southern Miss game.
3) Lose last two games and he walks with a hand shake. Gonna hurt the wallet.

So even though this is still a Butch coached team, we should still beat southern miss by 2+ touchdowns. I hope the offense finally clicks, JK runs angry, and we light up the scoreboard and get a huge homecoming win.
