Did anyone watch Tennessee's nation title game on satellite with no commercials?

I did and have some interesting stories. The announcers were unaware they were still on air it seemed the whole time.

no but i have had a similar experience with the memphis game on ppv in 2005. the people doing the commentary were unaware they were still on the air and you could hear them talking how ainge was a horrible qb and had no business throwing the football. that particular season, though, i can't really blame them...

Well, Jackson and I think it was Griese but not sure on that were all about Florida state. In the first commercial they began talking like drinking buddies might. Jackson begins by explaining how athletic State was and were no match speed or size wise. Warrick was evidently a deity. Then in every brake they would make comments like man can't believe how good these state guys are and how they were going to have to have side talk ready for when the blow out began. One comment I remember was ripping Colquitt for his first punt, Jackson stated "man that kid sure is a head case" with some other derogatory stuff can't quite remember. I think we all know how he played the rest of the game Mostly, I remember the Big 10 and Pac 10 talk, whereas they were the only real conferences and how State may have to join up with another conference if the Dynasty continued. It opened my eyes as a young kid to what the whole spin sports business was about and there is no such thing as objectivity in the media. Lastly, at the end when we had won it was much like the reaction of the liberal media after Bush won disbelief with comments like I can't believe they lost and how sad it was for state. Thats about it but it was a fun game to watch best of my life.

thats funny about the side talk when the blowout starts because it never happened and Florida State actually got blew out even the score didnt show it. Even though FS did keep some of Tn drives alive, Tn missed the first fg, and had what 1 or 2 fumbles going in for scoring drives and the last td FS got was not even a td, as he was down around the 2 and the ref hurries up and throws his arms up for a td. They gave them that 1 it looked like to me. Now they may have scored but with Tn defence, it def wasnt a given.

Yeah, they blamed it on the QB. In defeat their version was not UT was great but like sore losers they felt they had witnessed some great tragedy. I was in a room with about 15 guys we were all cracking up it made victory that much sweeter.

I don't think people realize the amount of contempt that Keith Jackson has for Tennessee.

People give Brent Musberger a hard time but I have heard him say kind things about the vols on more than one occasion.
