Did anyone feel this too?

I've always said "If you can feel this at home, they are feeling it on the field."

Which then is reinforced early with a FG from the 1/2 yard line.

I had one friend asking me why I wasn't optimistic still with a 17-10 lead, I replied "you're an Ole Miss fan, you don't understand what's about to happen to this team."

And it did. You just knew it was going to be 17-17 at some point and we were screwed.

I was waiting for us to pull to 24-3. I thought the game would have been out of reach at that point the way our D was playing. I still feel that OU and Stoops would have folded at that point.

The longer it stayed 17-3, the more the sick feeling began to grow I the pit of my stomach. When Ellis dropped the sure TD pass I felt physically ill and knew it wouldn't end well.

I thought the TKjr pick would seal the deal too to be honest. Sadly that wasnt the case. But you won't hear me crap on Herd. He's a tough and outstanding player.
Brings it every week.

I just want to know when this horrible cycle will end. The reason we knew this was gonna happen is because it keeps happening year after year. When will it end??? When will the football gods have some mercy on us?

When coaches decide to play conservative, the players sense that and lose their aggressiveness. That is what happen tonight.
4th and 1 with a 243 lb tailback and you kick a field goal.
34 seconds before half and you ride the time out.
Conservative play calling after Hurds long run to start the second half.
No wonder we lost.

When we didn't put the game away with a score in the third, I knew it was over. It was just a matter of when my temper was going to go off. The OU player hadn't even hit the ground on the INT and my temper hit.

Yes. Felt it too. I knew after the first field goal, that if this was a close game, that would probably come back to bite us for being so conservative. If you think about it, that first chance we had at the one, we were coming off a turnover, so we shouldn't have been there anyway. Why not punch it in for a TD.

Yes. I started worrying in the 2nd Quarter when our play calling wasn't adjusting to how the OU defense was playing us. Then the 3rd came along and it was more of the same. It was almost like I was waiting for what actually transpired to happen.

Yep. Same here. I saw it unfolding in my mind. Kept telling myself this time would be different and 6 figure coaches would DO THEIR DAMN JOB and make the PROPER adjustments to keep the OK defense guessing or at least go back to pounding the rock. Nope, lets try some 5/7 straight drop back passes/screens with a QB that that throws much better rolling out after a mis direction play action. While were at it, lets only try to throw short sideline routes as were dropping straight back 10 yrds. Minimum return on maximum risk....NEVER attempt to stretch the field. That could result in a big play. From second quarter on, our coaching/strategy was flawed. Defense held on as long as they could and finally wore down. Great job by players tonight. Coaching failed us in my opinion...zero adjustments.

This! I told my wife at halftime "I got a really bad feeling about this." You could feel the momentum swinging in OU's favor and see the adjustments they were making right before the half. When TK got his second pick and we failed to capitalize on it a put points on the board, I got a sickening feeling in my stomach and started thinking about last years FL game. I love the Vols, but I swear it's hard being a Tennessee football fan when games like tonight keep reoccurring.

I knew the Vols were in trouble before half time when the offensive line started to get whipped by OU. I have never seen a line just give up the way the UT line did tonight. Especially, when you consider that UT controlled the line of scrimmage for the first 25 minutes of the game.
