I thought that I saw us line up in a wishbone formation. I know that we ran the veer a couple of years during the 70's, but I never remember us lining up in a wishbone.

Was this a first?

I know Poole lined up as the fullback on a play and recieved the hand off. it was more of an off set I than the wishbone though.

He did line up at FB and they sent the TB in motion then gave it to Poole.

But we were heading toward the south when we lined up in the wishbone.

I didn't notice that. I'm excited to see the replay tomorrow. I probably wouldn't of noticed poole as the fullback, but it reminded me of Bryson even though the play only went for a few yards.

It was more of a mushroom than a wishbone! Bray was in a semi-shotgun with 3 RBs around like an umbrella. One went in motion pre-snap. It was at least imaginative and at best imaginative.

I saw the quick hand-off go to the up-back and thought, hey a fullback is actually getting a carry, then said, nope it's Poole.

So, I would like to know who were the other two backs lined up deeper--had we brought in actual running backs, or did we just shift back there a couple of receivers (or TE)?

Ole Miss had a funky formation, too. On at least one play they had four wide receivers to one side set in a diamond shape.

Just got home from work. Does anyone know if I can watch the game replay online anywhere?

It is going to be replayed on CBSC (CBS College Sports) at 6:00pm tonight (Sunday) and at 10:00pm on Sports South here in Charlotte. Might check your listings where you are. Had to work yesterday, couldn't watch online because of firewall and the local CBS station here had an ACC game on so I couldn't even record it.

G. Jones and J. Hunter were the deep backs. They both flared, taking backers, freeing up Poole in the A gap for about 8.

Hunter lined up next to Poole the time they had him at FB and he got the carry.

I'd love to see Hunter run a wheel route out of that formation.
