Did anyone catch Finebaum today?

“In 35 years of covering college football, these allegations are some of the most shocking I have ever seen leveled against an active, major head coach.”

Really Mr. Finebaum....you forget Penn State already? We are finally back and these idiots are taking allegations as fact.

I also dislike Finebaum, but I think you're taking this wrong. He has not presented it a fact, and I think that in Finebaum's opinion the allegations against CBJ are up there with the ones against Penn State.

Also, Finebaum's audience is SEC people, not B1G.

C'mon guys, our vitriol is getting as bad as some of the others. I'm not a Finebaum fan, but all he said was these are shocking ALLEGATIONS. They are, but they are only allegations and the allegators' stories are already starting to fall apart.

Marlon Walls just called in to the show and is LIGHTING ESPN UP!!! Not holding back at all. Defending Butch to the end. Love hearing former players who are ACTUALLY in touch with the program defend UT.

Marlon Walls: Just called in to show basically saying this is a bunch of bull. Says dre is lying. Doesn't believe butch ever said that to dre. Says dre was upset because he thought he should have been on field more. Said he was sick of all these accusations against UT so he finally had to speak up!!

Are these accusations REALLY more shocking than being accused of having sex with a stripper after SEC media day while screaming "It's rolling baby!" like Mike Price of Alabama did in 2003? Or Bobby Petrino having an affair with Jessica Dorrell (an employee he had circumvented Arkansas hiring policy to hire) and crashing a motorcycle with her board? No... but Paul is trying to stir up some Bama callers and he won't go there.

Yes, I think the allegations against Butch are worse than those examples.

Sorry.

I'm sitting here watching The Paul Finebaum Show and Marlon Walls called in from Memphis, TN. He defended the program and coach Jones. He said he just couldn't take it anymore and had to call the show. He gave a lot of great insight.

Edit:***I didn't see there was a Finebaum thread from earlier. Can a mod please just merge this thread with that one...sorry :(

That's just thing. Credibility almost doesn't matter once the boulder starts rolling downhill. This Title IX tactic ought to scare every big athletic department to death.

Oh, I think it definitely is. Between this and what has happened at FSU I would imagine it is THE hot topic at all of the seminars and conferences for athletic directors and their staffs.

Yes. every SEC school needs to back UT on this, because if this works against the Vols, every other big name SEC program becomes a Golden Goo$e too. It is not about UT Orange or Bama Crimson. it all comes down to the Green Benjamins.

He should have just stuck to Twitter. Nothing good can come from his unscripted and likely emotional appearance on tv
