They were talking about Duke and Gary said that Duke may have a hard time holding on to Cut. Vern said wouldn't that be an interesting turn. Were these 2 talking about him coming back to UT?

I thought Gary's comments last week about Meyer adjusting his offense this year were interesting. If we can get a coach with that ability, I will be happy.

No way that UT brings Cut-Above back!

I think they were referring to the likelihood that the Tampa Bay Bucs will throw all kinds of money at Cut to fill their head coaching position after John Gruden leaves for Tennessee.

I was thinking the same thing (about the OP, not Gruden)... When he said "hmm, it could get interesting" he paused and sounded like he wanted to elaborate but stopped himself.

I heard a stat that will rest your troubled soul.

This year, Tennessee has had 30 "three and outs" on 72 possessions. That is with Crompton and Stephens.

Last year, with the great Erik Ainge (a senior), Cutcliffe had 25 "three and outs" on 75 possessions over the first 6 games. Not much better.

Just to give that some perspective, Missouri has had 2 three and outs so far this year...
