Didnt see where this was posted anywhere, apparently today on the sports page on the animal the had Dicky V on. He had a bad connection and did not think he was on the air. He was at a restaurant with some people talking about Fla. He told these people the Billy Donavon had told him the scouts that want to pick Noah before Horford in the draft is making a big mistake. Like I said Dicky V did not know he was on the air. Billy Donavon was asked about this, this morning on the SEC teleconference and he denied it. Later Dicky V called back to say he did not think he a was on the air when he said that and was just joking around with some FLA fans at a restaurant. And Billy Donavon never said that.

My Feelings are that Donavon and Dicky V were talking about this and Donavon did not think that this would be repeated.

Do you guys think this will effect the FLA team at all?

No, It might pop up before to long, I found it quite funny though. He said something along the lines of me and Billy had a private conversation and would never want this public (not knowing he was on-air) then started the story "whatever scout thinks Noah should be picked before Horford......" Mike Giffith (sp) was doing the interview and he kept saying Dick we are on-air Dick we are on-air but he didnt stop.

It really isn't news that Horford is a better player. Noah is a good player but Horford is better.

Horford might be just a bit undersized to play the role he does today and he's not athletic enough to be a 3. The NBA has a lot of 6th, 7th and 8th men that were good big men in college, but just aren't quite big or athletic enough to transition into the NBA as a starter. I think Horford's the better college player, but Noah is more suited to the NBA because of his length / athletic ability combination.

horford is big enough, i mean, tell shawn marion he can't play the 4 in the NBA, he did it for two years.

Shawn Marion is an athletic freak. Horford's not. Marion also did if for the Suns, where position on the floor matters little, because their O doesn't rely on it and they do not play any D.

true, but with more nba teams deciding to run that type of system, i can see horford slimming down a bit and starting to run. i think he is athletic enough to be a 4 in one of these systems with the right conditioning program.

too many ifs, when you know that Noah will make a defensive and rebounding impact at the 4 position as he is today.

let me say though, that if noah can develop into a scoring threat inside, he will be an amazing nba talent.

I don't expect a big offensive transition for Noah, but he is one helluva defender and decent rebounder.
