Afghanistan should have been done strictly from the air. Boots on the ground was the mistake

Ok Gen Arnold.

No, the war in Afghanistan couldn't have been done strictly from that air. That would have been a waste of ordinance.
We actually tried that strategy at the beginning of the war and quickly realized that boots were needed on the ground to identify and paint the targets for the bombers to have any real affect. Not to mention the fact bombes were not going to root out the fluckers from their caves. We had to go into Afghanistan, the screw up was the internal pissing contest between the CIA and Rumsfeld along with inter-service dick measuring.

2

2 minutes for my F15s to deploy in DC.
He let it happen and yall gonna champion him?
I was not a fan of Cheney I’m not sure how you took that from my post. It was just a recitation of the historical record and in fact I stated he was largely reviled in the end by all.

Serious question. Do you actually read and process a post before you reply or are you more of a see, reply, read kinda guy?

Wasn’t meant for you in particular…just in general.
Lemme process your question?
I’m thinkin….
Nope he’s still a POS that sold us out over 911lies, got my brothers kilt,…fer some oil (most think) but it was really for that poppy…and his wife is traitor too. Hope she hangs!!

Now I’ll ask you question.
Why did the American cocaine trade move to Europe in the 90s from ‘Merica? The 80s were great 😊. Did the pound overtake the dollar and business men went the way of profits?

Hint: trace the pound to $$$ ratio. Simple business model…why were we guardin poppy fields in Afghanistan? My brothers died for it!!
What did you do? Will you admit it now?

Why are you once again demanding someone defend a position they’ve never taken? Is this another “that wasn’t at you in particular it was just a general case” reply or are you once again making this demand of me? Dink wax right man. Lay off the acid at the future Dead Head concerts man. 🤷‍♂️

Astounded by the articles touting Cheney as a moral "maverick" who put his country before his party by challenging Trump publicly. You can despise Trump and still realize that TDS is an actual thing.

I didn't like him (didn't hate him) simply because he was the epitome of the political establishment.

RIP Mr Cheney
With one caveat.

Cheney got things done. Like him or not, he was very effective at achieving whatever goals were in front of him.

I saw two full interviews with Cheney back in his prime. Again, like him or not, he was impressive in those as well.

The same could be said of the Austrian painter and his associates. And yes I understand you aren’t glorifying Cheney.

It would be hard to argue that from 1924 to 1942 or '43 the Austrian corporal was not the most effective politician in the world.

Didn't say Cheney was the most likeable, the most loving, the kindest ever, most jolly or Most Popular of his HS class. Said he was effective. Not sure I know of another VP who comes even close. Maybe GHW Bush for Reagan.

I'll add to my previous response along the same lines you have introduced. I don't like Nancy Pelosi. But I think she was an effective Speaker of the House although I wish she had been a conservative.

One of them may have conspired with the Mafia and Cuban exiles to get a promotion….🤷‍♂️

There probably hasn't been anyone in Washington DC over the last 50 or 75 years that knew how the bureaucracy worked and how the sludge moved better than Cheney.

Trump's reaction will be interesting given Liz.

I imagine he will put out an appropriate official WH message of condolence.. And then say something terrible at 3 a.m. sometime later in the week.
Win win then.

The debate between him and Joe Lieberman is how you debate policies.
