Thanks but I already knew it was your opinion. What specific traits about Pruitt, who has never been a HC, give the opinion he's a better HC than a guy who's been doing it for a few years and has had some pretty decent success?

I would love it if he turns out to be better than Mullen. Right now though, I realize it would be delusional to believe he's better without prior experience doing it.

It’s his opinion.

WVU - L
ETNS - W
UTEP - W
Florida - Toss up, only because it's at Neyland
UGA - L
Auburn - L
Bama - L
USCjr - L, because it's not at Neyland
UNCC - W
UK - Toss up
Mizzou - L, Missouri's QB puts up a light show
Vandy - Toss up

I should show Florida a loss as well but as I hate the Gators I will not. My guess is as good as anybodys...6-6

Just going in most talking heads will have us predicted start 2-5, prior to SCjr. The matresses will be burning/many will be checked out. For me it comes down to beating either WVU or FL during that stretch. However, we still could be 3-5 if we lose to SCJR on the road. Hopefully the team doesn't checkout too. October is a crucible.

Three of the OOC games should be gimmes. UT has more raw talent than WVU, Vandy, UK, and Mizzou. As far as pure talent, UT probably still has more talent than USCe.

If Pruitt is the right guy and the coach we're hoping for, this is a 7 regular season win team. Minus one then it is somewhat of a more negative outlook. Minus two, he's probably not the right guy. Plus one then it is more of a positive outlook. Plus 2... start looking for a street to name after him.

Development is more of an issue than talent in the roster he inherited. There are some talent holes... but the great coaches figure out how to win games in spite of less than ideal circumstances.
Considering we won four last year and three games were decided either on the final drive, final play, or final minute (Florida,South Carolina, Kentucky), with poor game decisions in each,I don't see why it's unreasonable to go 7-5 either. With a decent coach last year we couldve went that last year. I'll even add that we may have a shot at Georgia considering both running backs are gone and I'm not sure that their passing game will be enough to compensate. That makes all the difference. If Chubb wouldn't have gotten hurt in 2016 i don't know if we would've won that game either.
