I agree. I don't think significant weight loss is necessary because he doesn't look like he is carrying bad weight, to me. He is a solid 6'-8 and 250 lbs. He has already lost 30-35 lbs since his junior year of high school, apparently. If losing 10-15 lbs made him more of an above the rim player, then maybe I'd fall in that camp. Just not sire he has that kind of athleticism. More of a Grant Williams type athlete. Guys that get up, but just aren't quick (springy) jumpers.
Yes to all that. The blocked shot he made on the perimeter last night was freaky good. It looked like he wasn’t close enough to the shooter, then suddenly he batted that ball out of nowhere. I think the shooter and the crowd was a bit stunned and impressed. Really cat-like movement with an incredibly high basketball IQ.

No offense to Felix, but he better step up his game when he gets back in the court or he’ll have a short leash.

This will be an interesting thing to watch. We’ve got a little chemistry going and I’m scared to mess with it. I think he will have a longer leash than some because of the equity he’s built, but still will be an interesting situation.

I like this starting lineup we have right now. I kind of hope Barnes stays with it and brings Felix off the bench. If not and Felix goes back into the starting lineup I think you're spot on

63.6%...not great. BUT, what gives me hope is that his shot isn't ugly. He has good form and with increased focus and reps, I believe he can jump that % up 8-10 pts. He was 15-20 (75%) in the OOO portion of the schedule, but only 6-13 (46.2%) in SEC play.

Surprised it's that low, his form and touch look so good, especially for a freshman big. I should probably look at stats more, but I'm more of an 'eye-test' guy.

My impression, and it’s only my opinion, is that he moves extremely well and with really good fluidity. His extra bulk and strength at that weight seem to serve him well in the board battles, etc. Would he be better off knowing the wars inside are so competitive?
That’s the best word Imo. It usually takes guys his size a couple of three years for the game to slow down for that capability. He also has great hands and vision for a big man. Next year find an outside shot. Pumped to watch him develop at UT!

this freshman class has been a huge surprise to me. Not NA of course but the others for sure. Their maturity level seems extremely high (Rick ain’t going give you many minutes without it and he loves this bunch). Hopefully they can continue their development and trust and be ready to lead like Bishop Boswell has done.

Right but I was thinking maybe an occasional three here and there like we see from Okpara or Estrella. He operates really well in the paint for a freshman.
He operates well in the paint for a Senior!

Brown is a very good basketball player and is getting better by the second! He has a lot more upside than many realize.
