I would just say that if you dont know how to spell a players name correctly take the two seconds it takes to google it!

Cant wait to see this guy in orange next year!

OK, serious question from me this time.

How does his performance against a bunch of high school players, 99.9% of which are not good enough to play FCS football next year, foreshadow any success he might have in a UT uniform against SEC talent?

DY looked good considering he has no line and they wouldn't kick off to him. They tried too much in my opinion to run him up the middle instead of getting him outside more. But kid is lighting.

If by "not kicking to him" you mean put every kickoff through the back of the endzone then you are correct.

Doesn't at all. You could say that about every recruit though.

Considering his team made state quarters when they were really not good at all outside of him does indicate he is a pretty good player though. He's a difference maker.

Good point. Fact is there is no way to watch HS games and know what they will do in college. Somehow they still get stars though dont they. Sounds like to me you have a problem with Rivals and Scout, shoot them an email maybe they can help you. For now I like seeing future UT players dominate regardless of the level. Do you feel the same about JUCO's?

Good question. I would think that the talent level a JUCO faces is superior to the talent level DY faced; relativly speaking.

Agreed. That carries much more weight than someone watching a high school game saying that he is fast as lightning.

So I suppose we shouldnt get excited about any of our HS recruits? We shouldnt watch any highlights, look at any stats, etc... This makes no sense. So if I watch some plays of a recruit and have the same opinions as the coaches apparently do, blah......... this is the most idiotic argument ive been involved in. I blame myself. I give up.

You seem to have forgotten that football is a team sport. Maryville plays as a team and all 11 players on the field play as one unit that, once agrivated, can't be beat. Devrin Young High has one extremely talented player that embarrassed Maryville on two plays. If you have seen him in person, you know that if he has the ball in space, he is nearly impossible to tackle. Oh, and by the way, your right about Maryville not having anybody that will play in FCS football next year. Our biggest and best players are Juniors. I almost forgot... and a freshman.
