So just started back playing this the other day....after about a year of not playing. I'm a level 34 with 168 light and I noticed that I cannot progress past 34? What's the deal with this?

So you have to buy the taken king to go past 34? That's garbage. Doesn't TTK have the first 2 dlcs also? I already have the 1st 2 dlcs...can you just buy TTK separate?

I think you can skip taken king and buy rise of iron but not sure. There will be a spark for one character that will give you level 40 and some basic gear to get your light up. The max for year one I can't remember in light but I want to say 168-180 and 34 level. Nothing drops higher for raids/strikes on the old stuff. That's why they created DLC. New content/higher level caps. Not just new PvP maps

You can't buy rise of iron without taken king.

I think the bundle is $59 but you can buy taken king for $20 and rise of iron for $30.

Well...I was looking forward to get back to playing this again but I'm not going to pay 60 bucks for DLC just to do things that should be automatic in the game I originally bought. Bungie has become a horribly greedy company.

Yes, buying a game should give you years of free content. Man, Bungie is evil. Blizzard is really evil...they charge a monthly plus they charge for content. And don't get me started on Square with Final Fantasy online....they are as evil as Blizzard.

In all seriousness, Taken King was a fairly substantial update. Worth the money. New update....that's up for debate but I'm enjoying it.

Just something different, and everybody likes something different.
Got my Hunter up to 369, still haven't ran raid.
Getting good drops in Iron Banner.
Seems like about every third match you receive a good drop.
Got a 372 exotic gauntlets for my Warlock, haven't ran Warlock or Titan yet in ROI. :hi:

Why come in a thread about a game you hate? And there is more than just patrolling and bounties. With 4 raids, 15 or so strikes, iron banner, trials of Osiris, prison of elders, storyline there is plenty to do. But keep on hating, and for some reason checking in on games you hate. Because that makes you look real smart.

When and where did I say I "hated" the game? Try to keep up, Junior. My comments are blatantly saying that this is just another typical addition to the game. Grind the same things over and over for about a month or two then there's nothing left to do after that...

I use to play the hell out of Destiny, I'm just bored of the game. Unfortunately, you are a little sensitive towards that. But keep fighting the good fight, kiddo!

I finally fired up the PS4 last night and played a bit. After staring at my hard earned 335 gear and feeling a bit nostalgic, I promptly headed into a Heroic Strike at 338 light. Got. *****ing. Demolished.

Was kinda refreshing. I'm looking forward to the grind to 385.

Jump in Iron Banner. You'll be in the 350s before the end of the week at least.

Legendary drops almost every 3 matches for me. Blues almost every round. Blues will be your best friend till around 340.

Why, because that's what you are doing? What do you want bungie to do? The new raids areteam based puzzles
As well as the strikes. The new weapons are fun and the basics mechanics of the game are challenging and bring many back. So why come in and hate on it? Trolling much?

I ran 3 regular strikes and 3 heroic strikes and went from 339 to 345 last night. Was also randomly matched with a guy, Volsfan480, for the last three. Talk about strange, which one of you fools is this.
