Freak buy a legendary weapon.. You'll soon realize legendaries are the most important stuff in the game. Buy armementarium if you're a Titan . 2 grenades plus carry more special and heavy . Don't waste shards on legendary boots and gauntlets .. You'll use them later on raid armor.


Done 2 weeklys on lock and Titan tonight . Also both night falls . At the end crawl under platform 2 right of where he spawns go to back left in hole and sniper his head . Be careful entering and exiting. Crouch . U can fall to your death

Freak you'll prob get a nice weapon and or armor from nightfall. Holler tomorrow and I'll carry you through it

I think I've discovered what I don't like about Destiny's leveling: it's a catch-22. To play the high-level stuff, you need to be high-level. To get to high-level, you need to play high-level stuff. It's crazy.

It does seem like getting someone higher level to help out is critical. Buddy of mine helped me clear the Queen's missions when I couldn't do them solo yet. That got me my first 2 piece of legendary armor.

I helped Freak out last night and we cleared the weekly and nightfall missions. I was hoping he'd get something good but I think he got a legendary fusion rifle of the same element he had. Oh well. At least the 9 coins will help buy something good for Xur this weekend.

Nightfall is pretty cake this week if you have 2 people and some arc weapons. Ice Breaker regen and arc sniper rifle made fairly quick work of the Nightfall. All enemies went to the ramp and I sniped from the rocks at the entrance with no problems.

The upgrades never feel like upgrades to me. In Skyrim, when you got new armor or a new weapon, you could tell. It was obvious. You could kill things you couldn't before, and smaller stuff that used to kick your ass are now cannon fodder. In Destiny, leveling up is just a chore, it's not fun. The only enjoyable thing about it is the freaking fashion.

Another thing, all these little turds everywhere - the Dregs, the Acolytes and so on - those shouldn't even be a concern for me at this point. But they can still kill me pretty easily if there are enough of them. There are some enemies that my weapons won't even damage because they're so high level. That's how we should be to those little things. To me, the "legendary" armor and weapons are anything but. You don't really get stronger, more impenetrable. It's just a "carrot" to make people want to continue to play the game.

Yep, thanks for the help last night. I enjoyed it. I'm definitely ready for Xur this weekend.

I have 170 vanguard marks but I'm still debating if the light from upgrading my final two pieces of armor to legendary would be better than buying a weapon. I just can't decide and there's no going back. lol.

Freak and I did the daily 28 earlier today. I got a legendary engram. Turned it in....Gjallarhorn. Sweet!

i beat it last night too guys, then listened in on yalls by joining the party.. chaos.. lol

i got atheons epilogue and a killer sparrow

now to do it on the titan

tip.. use weapons of light to get a stacked damage boost on atheon, prob 30% increase on damage, thats at least one less teleport

I'll run it again if I can get my Titan's level up. I don't see that happening but I'm going to give it a try.

As I understand it, running it a second time (same character) gives you zero items. No chests and you don't get the 4 awards for beating each stage. If this is wrong, let me know.

Everything was great last night til we hit Atheon. We were even making good time til the last part.

I think now that everyone's had time to be relic holder and knows it by heart, it'll be good. It'll also be good when Freak has a better weapon and can join in instead of just trying to stay alive.

So you only get items on the first run? Is that a weekly thing or overall? I have a second character but only at like level 12. I was fine not playing this game for the past two weeks but last night sucked me in again.

That's how I understand it. I started a 2nd character of the same type. As soon as he gets to 20, I can just swap gear. That'll give me 2 runs. 4 if I ever try Hard.

Edit: You're right. You can only earn raid gear once per week.

That's right I believe. Once per week per character.

Not sure if that applies to running it on normal and hard with the same character in the same week though. I'd guess it's once no matter what, but I can't say for sure.

Now that we've all got the strategy down we should try the raid again some time. We did well considering we had a few first-timers and Freak at level 26. You did really well to stay alive as much as you did. You weren't dying any more than any other raider.

I may try to run through as much as I can on hard today. I want the raid helmet. I also want some damn raid weapons! But I can't complain, because I've got a full set of normal mode raid gear in just 3 runs. I've been pretty fortunate with raid gear drops. I just want the weapons!
