Friday 12-5 is best for me
Wednesday evening also works
Saturday is off limits due to football, but later Friday or Sunday night I might be able to work in if I have advance notice.

27 is a good level for the Nightfall and the VoG. Most people in the normal mode raids are 27 or 28. I hope to be 29 by the time we attempt it and I might be more useful. I'm getting a lot better at it, though, and with communication, it's really not that difficult to figure out.

You will get some great gear from VoG and Nightfall. You'll level up quick and get some great weapons. Each raid is usually good for 2 or 3 legendary pieces (armor/weapons) and like 10 ascendant materials, IME.

But if we don't do the VoG Wednesday night, we should still definitely do the Nightfall. I'll be up late Weds night, because I don't work Thursday this week.

I'm prob free at 10pm on Wednesday.

I will say this...if no one here knows the Gorgon maze, I'll brush up on it.

Also, I don't think I know where all 4 (5?) chests are. If we don't have someone familiar with it, I'll have to look at some youtubes. 1 upon entering, 1 after Templar (I think), 1 in the jumping maze, and then 2 in the Gorgon area. The Jumping part might or might not have a chest.

I'm probably going to try and run it tonight since I haven't done it this week. It'll be around 10 or 11. I'll pay more attention to the Gorgon section and where all the chests are. I normally just follow the leader.

I would imagine we can do it in 1.5-2 hours without a problem. We'll f up Atheon a few times and probably wipe a time or two against the templar/oracles. But, I think it'll go smoothly since most have done it a few times already. And now that I realized I can shoulder charge as a titan I shouldn't f up the jumping platforms like I normally do.

Anyway, so I got my second piece of raid gear. I'm almost level 29. I have plenty of ascendant shards, but I need xp and I need to farm for relic iron. It's easy, but I absolutely hate doing it.

Could have been me. The raid has laughed in my face handing out raid armor to everyone but me.

I had an opportunity to do it yesterday, but said screw it. Didn't feel like wasting time.

I can find my way out of the labyrinth, but I can't find the chest probably. YouTube it and it shouldn't be a problem. The second chest after the Templar we need to YouTube. You can go right past it if you don't know where it is. I can never find my way around down there because it's so damn dark.

I've got a couple lvl 29 buddies that are usually online. Between them and destinylfg we should be able to get 6 together pretty quick on Wed.

So here's the details of my character. I'm looking for advice.

I'm level 26 and I have two legendary secondary weapons and a legendary heavy weapon, but I don't have a legendary primary weapon. I'm using several different level 20 rare weapons as my primary, all of which are maxed.

I have legendary gauntlets and chest armor, which have been upgraded a little, but I obviously need ascendant shards to do much more. I have a rare helmet and rare leg armor. Both are maxed.

I've maxed my vanguard points this week, which I think resets tomorrow. I'm only level three in vanguard rank.

Also, I should have enough strange coins to buy an exotic from Xur on Friday.

My question is this: Should I go ahead and upgrade my helmet or leg armor to legendary, or would I be better served to buy a legendary weapon in a couple days? Also, what about buying an exotic? I think thrasher suggested a helmet if available.

Any advice? I'm looking for the most strategic way to buy an exotic and my next legendary. Thanks in advance.

Btw exotic gauntlets are the way to go imo. If you do not have a legendary primary or secondary id get one. If you do, go ahead and get armor.

Got some raid gloves and chest armor tonight. We played 5 hours.. Never could get Atheon. We had him close one time but people had a lot of trouble using the relic in the time gates, leaving no time for oracles. Can't tell you how many times it went dark on me and needed a cleanse. Good luck y'all . Hit me up StoVol70 if you like

Sto - Sounds like we are going to run it Wed night if you want to join us (PS4).

I got a team off destinylfg tonight. 5 level 29s and a 26. We did it in just over an hour and half. Wiped once on the templar/oracles and 4 or 5 times at Atheon. (We pushed the templar off the back)

I finally got raid gear. Got the boots and chest piece. Finally. Just one more to go.

Finally reached level 28 last night. I can probably reach level 29 if I get enough ascendant shards to upgrade all I can upgrade.

Nightfall is fairly easy this week (especially if you have an Ice Breaker).

Skip first section. Get to the first area you have to clear. Snipe from the first set of rocks and the 3 waves can't touch you while dinklebot opens the door.

Then, snipe the 2 areas after that (hobs and minataurs then the hydras) from a distance.

On the priest, don't go down. Jump on the right rock next to the drop off, then double jump back to the left. Folks can still hit you, but they probably wont 1-kill.

I was solo until the last part. Brought a guy in to help clear folks out that wouldn't move. Then, when the priest came out, he went under the ramp, I stayed on the rocks. Took about 4 minutes to kill him.

Bring Arc weapons. My arc sniper that's not fully upgraded was doing twice the damage of my fully upgraded IB. So, I let the IB regen, switch to arc sniper then shoot the priest. Switch back to IB and repeat.

If anyone wants to roll the daily or weekly heroic, I'll be around tonight and would love to knock these out on a high level.
