Destiny

I'm a level 13 and my friend is a 25. I haven't had as much time to play as he has. But anyways, we did a fireteam and ran through the Moon strike and all of Venus in like 2 hours. It was nice. Caught me up real fast.

I am at 14. When I did the strike I was at level 11 and my buddy was at 24. Since it was a level 12 strike it was dang near impossible for me to get kills lol

The struggle makes it fun. We had Smokey with us also.Smoke stayed alive while we went kamikaze on the final level boss.

Reviews for Destiny seem to be all over the place. I've seen a lot of 9/10's and I've seen several 5 and 6/10's.

The thing about Destiny is, I don't feel it's a game that you can easily review right out of the gate. I think anybody who has been following the development of this game knows that this isn't going to be a self-contained, one and done release. Bungie has already stated that they project a 10 year commitment to this game. I look at it in much the same way as I do World of Warcraft. That game today is VERY different from the game that was released 10 years ago. I foresee Destiny being the same way. I fully expect to see additional planets, maps, story details, gameplay modes, etc added over time to futher expand and add depth to the game.

As for what the game is right now, I am having a blast with it. Yes it can be repetitive but what you do in the game is so much fun and the mechanics are so tight I honestly don't mind. I find myself going back to missions I've already completed over and over just because I love being immersed in the environments and find decapitating enemies with my pulse rifle so satisfying LOL! I'm just going to continue to enjoy this game for what it is right now and look forward to what Bungie has in store to make Destiny all they envision it to be.

Just bought this and a xbox one. Getting everything updated and set up and I'll be jumping in.

Same here. Looking forward to seeing what's in store. Everything is there to make it a classic game.

Hopefully they'll come out with more bounties in future updates. I've done all the Vanguard bounties already.

Crucible is fun but all it does is make me wanna pick up Halo again. Really looking forward to the Master Chief Collection.

Apparently it takes 30 days to switch the email associated with your xbox live account. I find that rather ridiculous.

Yeah, the email linked to my account was an old school email that got deleted since I don't go there anymore. Couldn't open the verification email they sent to download my profile to my new xbox. Went to change it and it takes 30 days. Lame.

This game is such an anomaly to me. I can sit here all day long and nit pick the issues with Destiny but the bottom line is that I can't stop playing it! It's gaming "crack" to me right now. There's just something about gliding around those worlds in my Sparrow and decapitating enemies with my pulse rifle that is so damn satisfying. I still believe this game will sort of be a perpetual work in progress for Bungie and that it will look very different 3 or 4 years from now than it looks today.

Well said. I agree.
