Destiny

This game is a combination of several great games. Normally this genre isn't something I buy, but this game is great.

I don't understand how the game is so beautiful and seems to be great fun...but has maybe the worst voice acting I've heard in years. It's awful.

Otherwise, enjoyed the 3 or 4 missions I've done so far.

I saw someone named "thereal865" last night, but I tried to message him and couldn't find his username. Maybe I missed a character or something. Wasn't one of you guys, was it? My PSN is RockyTopPE, and he stopped near me as if he recognized Rocky Top in my name and was trying to communicate to me some way, too. I guess there aren't any in game communications.

I got to level 4. I only played for about two hours, but I'm afraid this game might be addictive.

What are those plants that you can collect? I never figured out what they do? Also, what does reviving dead ghosts do for you? I need a good wiki to figure out all the minor details about this game, but the ones I've found are so incomplete.

I didn't try multiplayer last night. I look forward to trying that tomorrow afternoon. Add me.

Holy **** the Last Array mission took forever. 37:52 minutes

I don't know what mission I was on last night when I turned it off, but I've been playing on hard, and that's going to be damn near impossible unless I join a party. I was level 4 and the mission was level 6. I was protecting the ghost trying to hack something (I don't really pay attention to the story), and enemies were coming so fast I would constantly run out of ammo.

Okay, spinmetal was the word I was looking for. As far as I can tell, those are useless materials that don't do anything except give you some rewards after you collect so much and turn them in at the tower QM? Any other use?

I tried fighting the giant robot spider thing last night by myself. I fought that damn thing for 45 minutes and I STILL couldn't kill it! You have to join a party at some point. It's the only way to complete some of the missions.

I remember that from the Beta. Shoot at his legs, then I think he opens up. Definitely need a party for that.

How good is this game? Does it live up to the hype? From what I read, you can visit different planets and explore them?

It's not really an open world RPG like Skyrim or anything. You basically say "I want to go to this area" and then you are plopped in there with a bunch of similar level people. There is a tiny amount of exploring, but from my short time playing, it's mostly just playing missions.

I almost bought it digitally for PS3 last night since it comes with the upgrade to the PS4 version but then I found out that there wasn't going to be local co op. I thought for sure that it would have that feature since it was made by the halo folks. I could have definitely gotten my girlfriend into that one. She loved playing borderlands co-op. Kind of a shame imo.

Is it worth it anyway as a solo game? let me know :)

I only managed to get to level 3 yesterday. I'll be on tomorrow evening if anyone wants to get a party going. BYOB

Crucible is actually a pretty quick way to level as well. I've gone from 5-12 since yesterday night. The gear collection is a little more difficult however
