Destiny 2 (PS4 PS4 Pro Xbone PC)

This is what the whole "forward compatibility" concept on consoles brings us. As long as developers feel obligated to support the older hardware, those with the newer hardware will be shackled because of it, especially with online community-based games like this.

Those who are anxiously awaiting Xbox Scorpio will soon discover this as well. No matter how powerful it is, as long as games are made to run on the standard X1, it WILL effect how much those games can take advantage of the newer hardware.

The framerate stuff I agree with, but in other areas such as graphics that are improved with the Pro make it that I could never go back to the original PS4.

Shadestep has been changed up and added to all Hunter subclasses.

Shotguns, fusions, snipers, rockets are all heavies now.

Stickies no longer one hit kill.

New class abilities tied to the O button that recharges. Titan is a half shield type thing.

No word on tick rate. Probably not answering that today.

PC supports text chat, 4k, uncapped framerate, 21:9 support and adjustable FOV. Huge. May not launch on the 8th. Not so huge.

How would they do that without gating off PS4 and PS4 Pro communities? I don't think anyone would want that considering the number of PS4 Pro owners is considerably smaller than PS4 owners.

I don't think fps would gate off the non-pro. PC users will be running all sorts of fps against each other.

4K support for PS4 Pro has been confirmed (30fps). No word on 1080p 60fps for Pro. I imagine the same will be the case for Scorpio.

Thought it was confirmed that it was capped at 30fps

While Smith admits to the strength under the hood of Sony’s most recently released console, he explained that the forthcoming sequel won’t be able to hit 60 FPS on the system due to CPU constraints.

While disappointing, not a killer for me. Destiny 1 played well in 30fps IMO.

Thanks for the clarification.

Yeah Destiny 1 played fine at 30fps. It just sucks because that was early in this generation. Since then we've all enjoyed so many great FPS at 60fps like Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, Doom, COD, etc. It's going to suck going back to 30fps after playing all of those. Even Halo has moved on to 60fps gameplay.

Any benefits/concerns about Destiny 2(PC version) launching from Battlenet? Blizzard has done well with it and it allows for a much better experience playing with RL friends.

Any word on if I can keep my weapons or my shaders? Deal breaker for me if not

Maybe this time around they'll figure out some semblance of weapon balance instead of nerfing everything because of crucible complainers.

Some of the recent news:

Control - Start with your own flag captured; capturing a flag is now 1-step (no more neutralzing); More people on the point does not speed up capture time; Scoring is based on # of points controlled

No more random weapon rolls. Example: If we all got a hung jury, they would all be the same.

Character classes changed. Not as many options for your loadouts.

Some end game activities will go with fixed loadouts. So, no changing your gear once it starts.

Heroic, or hard mode, of some activities like the raids will not have the Guided Games option.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Although getting stuck with a bad roll was frustrating, it made grinding to get a 'god roll' that much more rewarding.

Again, I'm not sure about this. I like having the ability to change weapons in pvp if something isn't working for me that round but I guess it will help with people changing their load outs after 'peeking' them pre-match.
