It appears he wants the job, and we want to give him the job, but we're waiting to get the go-ahead from the new DC once one is hired. Until then they probably wont say anything officially.

Even Univ of Houston can hire a DC, the got Stewart, the Cowboys ex-DC. NSD is right around the corner. I'd like to see Smith make visit to Lemonier, Smith, and Whitaker to see if they would be interested since he's on board. But wait, he has to get hired first, my bad.

If the new DC would not want Chuck Smith on staff then I would have to question the judgement of said DC. Chuck would be an upgrade over Oger.

his lb and secondary coaches are already here. I don't think it's that big of a deal.
