Wasn't everyone predicting a Final Four with their fabulous class? I'm not arguing that point though. I know the team did better than what has happened with her here and that the circumstance was different at UNC. But, two different means to the same end?

Over a Stanford team with Chiney? I think not.

They didn't even finish in the Top 3 of the ACC that year. Clearly, they overachieved come tournament time. They gave Stanford all they could handle, too.

Would someone please start a poll. If we can only get rid of one, would it be Diamond or Holly? I want to get rid of both. But, only picking one would be interesting to see poll results.

After much consideration, if I can only get rid of one of them.....I vote to move Diamond out. Holly can stay.

Did she have something to do with the academic scandal that decimated the team via transfer?

She led her team to the E8 as a freshman, beating a #1 seed along the way. If anything, this season is an aberration on her resume, not a trend.

Now wait a minute. A minute ago you argued no way they beat Stanford but then argue that they did wonderful and beat #1 seed along the way. So, did they underachieve or overachieve?

Actually, I don't remember if SC was a #1 or #2 seed. I think they were a #1 and Stanford was #2.

In either event, both SC and Stanford were favorites to win their game against UNC. So they overachieved by beating SC, and lost to a team that they should have lost to (but were close enough that they could have won).

This season...this is an underachievement. And that's being generous.

No UNC was already in a downward spiral before Diamond and 2013 committed everyone was shocked that Sylvia landed all that talent.... I guess every dog has their day

Stop blaming these kids for this corn hole of a season. Coach is struggling big time. She can not make adjustments; she has not coached to her players strengths and Lord I am yet to see anything that remotely resembles a workable offense. How do HS/AAU coaches get the best out of DD and the other AA and an 800K a year college coach can't? C'mon Man!!

The players bear some responsibility also. I agree the coach is the main problem but not all the problem.

Diamond could score a lot of points if they ran some set plays for her. This freelancing everybody does telegraphing passes inside is not an offense. The fact that people can shoot that have no ability is just empty possessions. We would be a lot better off if we put Dunbar in if she made 3 of 10 threes that is equivalent to 45 percent two point shooting when have we shot 45 percent in a game?

Yes and if they would play people who can actually shoot and score the ball in combinations much longer periods of time together ......like Cooper,De Shields, and Dunbar....then they just might break 60 points per game and not have lost but two games tis year.

Players and team have exhausted their patience in this offense against zones and flat given up......now they have a losing attitude.

Or, those 3 would put up 120 shots, make less than 60 points, and the other team take the rebound off the missed shots and score 80.

Play Deshields and Cooper at least 30 minutes per game. Deshields is the best player in America, and Cooper is the best guard in the SEC.
