Too bad we didn't leave the starters in on both sides and hang about 70 on them. Could have easily went over 60...

I think Butch really wanted to put some points up on him after the moronic things Mason has said over the past few years. I bet that next year Butch won't let his foot of the gas after Mason's complete lack of respect for UT.

Mason should be more worried about his veneers falling off his teeth

"If you do not know what caused you to lose, you can’t fix it."

best line in the article.

Posted a version of this a few years ago, but here goes again...

I was in a bookstore looking for something interesting to read when I saw a large black and gold 300 page book entitled GREAT MOMENTS IN VANDERBILT FOOTBALL HISTORY...I bought it on impulse but returned it the next day when I realized that all the pages were blank...

I dont know why any coach would say this. It seems to be about the worst thing any coach could say to dispirit his team or fans. It also is a direct reflection on him. Direct. Its his job to get the most out of his players.

My pee-wee baseball coach took things too seriously. He gave us a talk about how we beat ourselves after every loss. I never knew what he meant but I sure felt like I had really messed up and never wanted to play another baseball game again. Funny he couldnt figure out we won every game we played from the 1st base dug-out and lost everyone we played from the 3rd base dug-out. Maybe Mason should coach from the opposite side of the field.
