Derek Dooley will be SEC coach of the year in 2012

With an upgraded coaching staff his odds are better. People forget what a major role assistants play in a head coaches success or failure. CDD has some of his own issues to overcome though. Game management needs improvement.

He very well could be the SEC coach of the year if we get 9 wins or more. Otherwise...probably not.

Who hired all the guys that left and are now replaced with up graded coaches?

Wonder what the Vegas odds would be for your drunken prediction? I say 1000:1

I'd like to take some of that action! :good!: Spurrier and Richt aren't going to get it because they're coming off of good years. Muschamp would be Dooley's biggest competitor in the East. He'll win at least 8 games next year with the upside being 10 wins. UT is finally 2-deep at most positions, has a seasoned squad made up of a lot of Juniors, QB and WR's will be healthy, OL and DL should be pretty good, LB's have some experience and DB's should be OK. I'm most concerned about ST's.

Hope you are right, but I'm gonna take this approach to this thread.

I like your attitude. Next post will be the sky is falling (again). Afterall, this is 2012 and the worlds ends, doesn't it? How can he be coach of the year when the world ends this year?:w00t:

We will go to the SEC Championship game, and, win or lose, he will be voted as such due to the major improvement.

Thoughts?

:)

Don't know about the SECCG just yet but we will be much improved. I like the attitude. Lot's of reasons to be optimistic this year. Of course we still have dumbass people on here that expected him to be competitive in the SEC with no depth and NON SEC starters on the field for the most part.

This thread should only be replied to with the following type of comments:

That would be great.
Hope your right
Awesome if true.
Nothing would make me happier.
Knoxville would be rockin.
Sec championship would be very nice.

Instead we end up with all this negativity, make it stop. No matter how much you disagree or doubt the statement, you could still say you hope its true.

Dix gonna be dix. Smh.

You never know. Only 4 games worry me.
Bama, ga, USCjr,& florida to a lesser degree. Win 2 of those, and we might could get there.

With our schedule, he'll probably have a winning record next year assuming we stay relatively healthy. That's about as optimistic as I can give you right now.

Well, you know what they say:

"Hope springs eternal." So I hope you're right.

Even if he does get to the SEC CG that alone won't get you coach of the year in the SEC let's be real it takes more than that.

This guy above me loved Sunseri while he was at Alamamma but now that he's gone he's not sure that he's a upgrade for somebody else. Typical bama.

I think Sunseri could very well be an upgrade, but I absolutely can't say it with any certainty.
