Per Dooley at SEC Media Days. Love this statement. It was not cocky or arrogant, but a little bit of confidence that we haven't seen te last few years for obvious reasons.

GBO!

He got up late and wasnt up there for long.

-Spoke on the importance of not building up to many expectations on the WR corps. Said they only have one guy that played all 12 games last year. Said they have alot of talent but it is going to have to show up on the field.

-Worked alot in the offseason on the run game and hopes it pays off.

-The injury to Bray impacted the team to much in a negative way. Said he should have done more to help the team on a spirtual level.

-Was unsure about the incoming WR's future roles because he has had limited time with them.

-Last year Bray was uncomfortable being a leader and he has matured in the offseason and is holding people accountable.

Favorite Line from Dooley: "You're not going to have Tennessee to kick around anymore."

Overall Dooley was only asked four or five questions and his opening statement was five minutes.

Not alot but its something I guess.

My favorite part about the statement is that Dooley has been really honest in the past about not having enough to compete at a high enough level, and it really felt like he truly meant it.

Dooley is very confident that we arn't the whipping boy any more. He said he thinks we can go toe to toe with anyone in the league... and i think he means it!

I liked it. The "not going to kick Tennessee around" was great to hear. Also, one of the first things he mentioned was the run game and defense. Also said we finally have a full team with experience.

Tyler Bray talking now...

:ermm:
GrantRamey Dooley done in 14 minutes? Nat'l media treating Vols like they were 0-6 in the SEC before beating Vandy in OT and no-showing at Kentucky.

BFQuinn Dooley's press conference was laughably short. Not a single question from national media regarding his job status. Didn't see that coming.

patrickbrownTFP Dooley goes 15 minutes in the big room, gets no questions about pressure/hot seat/job security, but one about Drae Bowles.

wesrucker247 Dooley off the podium in 14 minutes. Wow. That was short.

Hopefully the Vols performance this year has em begging for one more question this time next year.

Are we flying under the radar, or just irrelevant?

Would like to believe that we are under the radar...let's prove to them that we aren't irrelevant.
