During my lifetime, the Derek Dooley era has been the low point in Tennessee football. I cannot tell you how many games, maybe all of them, that I saw a Tennessee team absolutely not ready to play under his tenure. We fielded teams with no fire at all in their belly, but I don't really fault the players. This was a direct reflection of the coaching. This was never more evident than the Kentucky loss. Dooley should have been fired right after that game.
