Former Vol head coach Derek Dooley is considering a run for the US Senate in Georgia . Dooley who is registered as a Republican will face incumbent Democrat Senator John Ossoff if he wins the GOP nomination for the seat.

Terrible head coach, but he can be entertaining in front of a mic. I would welcome this.

You know, in the end the Dooley family kinda won me over as people.

His Mom was a hoot with her orange feather boas, etc. Someone told a hilarious story about him playing at Virginia and they were in a box at the game watching. She keep saying "throw it to Precious" (her pet name for him). After he had two passes hit him in the hands and dropped them both, she started yelling "throw it to anyone BUT Precious"

After DD was fired I read where his Dad had commented on the situation. I naturally expected a bunch of excuses and how his son didn't get a fair shake, but all Vince said was "you can't go 4-19 in conference play at UT and keep your job."
