Derek Dooley article

I like the article pointing out Dooley waiting until 3 weak teams to "step up and help the defense". If we luck out and win all 3 games Dooley will try and spin it to stay onboard. "I helped fix the defense". "We will be better".

Dooley timed it this way for a reason. Mizzou's offense has struggled. We should be able to out talent Vandy and UK. No way in the world would Dooley have stepped in to help the defense(at least saying it to the public) when he knew what was coming, 721 yards :eek:lol:.

You have to remember ... he is a lawyer. He is used to at times talking his way through rough situations. He says what he thinks it takes to keep everyone happy ... especially his bosses.

I'm getting sick of the whole "if he can turn it around and win out, everyone will calm down" spin. Any coach should be able to beat Mizzou, Vandy, and UK with the talent we have. We need a coach who can actually win against good opponents.

I agree. We can probably win out without turning anything around. No matter what the results of the last three games we have a bad season. My feeling toward replacing the coach won't change because of the next three games.

Missouri has had problems but it was with out their QB. He is back now.

They also have a lot of injuries... Still should be a good game. Sad Neyland will not be filled... unless there are a lot of Tiger fans there.

Neither will mine. Should've been done yesterday.

Well, we have to win 2 of the last 3 to qualify for a toilet Bowl visit. And who will take my bet? Sorry, I'm not taking a fool's bet, and neither should you. Hard to be an optimist, I would say year 4 is put up or shut up time, injuries or no injuries.

No worries. Not a chance that we win out. Dooley needs to go. Anyone who likes Dooley needs to go with him! I for one would not be going!

There is a good possibilty we finish 8 - 5 with a bowl win and Coach Dooley is back next year. Like him or not that is most likely going to happen. I think there are more factors to consider than most on here will admit. Win/ loss record is not the only state of the program indicator. Although, it is usually the only one everyone looks at in times of disappointment. We need to get behind the kids who are busting their butts on the field for UT and quit whining like a bunch of self absord brats. Go Vols win out and start building our belove VOLS back to the top.

Barely beating cupcakes, losing to our rivals that matter and a lack of coaching fundamentals should be the deciding factor. The only thing Dooley has been able to do as a HC is to beat the passion out of the fanbase with terrible coaching.
