Can-Doo attitude

Derek Dooley is in an unenviable position, taking over a tumultuous Tennessee. It can't be fixed overnight, but the coach with the famous last name can restore things on Rocky Top, Dennis Dodd says. Read

Hes off to a great start IMO and with a win over Oregon, Florida, Bama, and LSU he will go down in history as one of the greats. :)

Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down there buddy,,, lol.

I supposed to be watching my blood pressure, if that happens, I might not make it through the season...

That'd probably be one of the finer ways to go, watching Tennessee beat the crap out of Bama or Fla

GBO!

Well buddy to be quite honest if that happened I would bow at Dooley's feet.

Good read...I don't agree on the writer's stance on the Bryce Brown ordeal, but opinions are like *******s: Everyone has one and they all stink.

Good summary of the state of the program...but kind of pointless...wasn't much substance really.

What is sad about this is if it were to actually happen, as low as our expectations for this team are, we still might not be ranked high enough to be in the NC game.

Befire you blast this consider a few things:

1)I realize the 7th word in the above statement should be bolded and bigger than the largest font size volnation has available.
2)By our expectations, I mean ours as fans(the reality based ones anyway), but more importantly the media and the pollsters.
3) Auburn 2004(They started the season ranked 17th(AP) and 18th(Coaches Poll), won the SEC championship, and were still denied even a shot at the title.
4) We aren't ranked anywhere near 17th and 18th respectively.

They are talking about taking the title away from USC and giving it to Auburn now... Being the undefeated team that should have been there.

True. But still nice to see semi-postive press

Pretty much. I could have made it sound more attractive by making the title "Tennessee on front of CBS Sports". Wasn't posting it because the article was anything special. Just posted it because it's the front page of CBS's college football page and it's center stage with a picture of Dooley/Tennessee.

A lot of people bought into Kiffin's motto that all press is good press and Kiffin only got press because he is a jerk. Tennessee has been a roll with recruiting and undergoing an image change. This article is nothing but good in my opinion. It's main stage where recruits can see the Vols and isn't bad news.

Vols rarely get the main stage without a negative light being shined.

Nothing we haven't already figured out on our own really....I think Dooley will end up being a good hire.....obviously not the first guy I would have went after but considering how late it was into the recruiting season not a bad get....
