Just was looking at the tackle for loss leaders. Barnett is 2nd in the SEC and tied for 7th nationally with 14. There is a 4 way tie for third with 15. Those are great numbers, but what really stood out to me is that he not only leads all freshmen, he is one of only three freshmen in the top 50. Impressive.

Barnett will have to be doubled teamed next year or he will take over.
Good times ahead for vol fans.

We sure do have help on the way and I have been looking forward to that, but after last night I think our vols are ready to get it done in the next 3 games. I am still looking forward to the new help coming but this present bunch is pretty exciting....WOW

I have a good story for you. Go to the Barnett thread on the recruiting forum. Last year after the Missouri game at Vandy.... Shortly after that Barnett said he was coming to UT. He knew Franklin was a clown.

Barnett quietly has 7 sacks on the season now. Tied for 16th nationally and 3rd in the SEC behind Shane Ray and Myles Garrett.

He is the best young defensive talent on the roster since Eric Berry. He will win some awards and trophies. Future All-American.

and i dont think Garrett has a single sack in SEC play. I think all of Barnetts have come in SEC play. If they havent all been in SEC play then its still pretty close.

I'm no good at posting links. Especially from mobile. Took me a while to find a good sortable stat site. Best one I have used is cfbstats.com
