I just heard Monte call him out for excellent play and all I can remember is that the previous staff was hesitant about signing him because of his size. I know he had some grade issues, but who can question this kid's football ability?

My opinion is that he will be the next EB on this team and I can not wait to see him next year.

I dunno man, I think Janzen's looking to fill the EB shoes. Rogan's a great player and all, but I see the power and ferocity of EB in Jackson and he just overflows with potential.

Rogan is a good player. lets leave it at that. He's not some next level talent or "the next EB"
C'mon son.

Rogan had a man sized game. His coverage over their WR was fantastic. Our secondary played lights out

Rogan played a great game today.

I agree about JJ. If we didn't have Berry we would all be wearing 15 jerseys. He brings the wood.

I love this guy! He was missed when he was not there and he made a ton of plays for us last night...Rogan rocks! :clapping:

Rogan ia an excellent DB. And, the previous staff was right, he is a bit undersized. And, they were right again, they signed him anyway.

Rogan had a great game and he is only getting better... I love it when local kids make good!!

Rogan struggled with 2 open field tackles against Julio that went for 1st downs in the 1st half but was lights out the entire 2nd half - can't even begin to remotely compare him with EB though especially since we had to suspend him for a game this year.

He's definitely a top 10 corner this year. He's our No.1 corner. Our D is the best in the nation in my opinion. And he's having one of the best seasons for a corner around here that I've seen in a while. He helped set the tone on the first play from scrimmage. He blew up the lead block on that play which allowed our pursuit to make the tackle.

JJ has a long way to go. he misses tackles way 2 much. yes he is a hard hitter, but he has a long way 2 go. Rogan is the better player right now and its not even questionable. Neither are close to Berry tho

rogan had a great game but you are crazy. he is not the next eb. he is in the same year as eb. no way he becomes eb in one year.

It's all about setting the tone early and EB introduced himself to Mcelroy...Rogan played a flawless second half and was the reason we got the onsides.

JJ is a freshman, Rogan played great...both will play at the next Level, let's just hope JJ plays 3 more here.

Berry was the best defensive back on the field yesterday (would say player but Cody saved the game for bama) Berry is Jack Tatum in Orange, JJ is the next Berry/Tatum.

GO VOLS just beat socaro!!!

Berry missed several tackles yesterday, especially letting Ingram off their goal line for his biggest gain of the day.

Rogan isn't the next Berry by any stretch of the imagination. However, if he continues to mature, he will have a great senior year and will put himself in a position to get drafted in 2011. He has to keep going to class though. I think he's responded well since his earlier suspension.

Having Rogan come back will be big next year. He'll need to step up and be the leader of the DB. JJ is going to be a great one, but I don't see him reaching Berry's level. No knock on Jackson.

OK first of all there is only one Eric Berry. There is only one player like him on any team in the country every 10 years or so. Eric Berry was also Eric Berry as a freshman he didn't have to develop into Eric Berry. Janzen Jackson has potential to be a great safety but he will never fill Berry's shoes. Rogan has the potential to be a lockdown corner but he will never be an Eric Berry type player. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble but after this year the days of having Eric Berry in our secondary are gone but thats not to say we could not have a very very good secondary next season.

Rogan was the best player on the field in the secondary. He was phenomenal

and you're forgetting about the 2 passes batted down by Berry on Crossing routes that would have been Gained big yards.
Also berry forced a Horrible throw on 1st drive
then again in the 4th on 3rd & 3, he didnt bite on the Play Action and was rite in Mcelroys face to force a bad pass...

Eric Berry was still the best player in the secondary yesterday

You really think Rogan will go pro? I figure his size would prevent him from being drafted.
