Why do you have a LSU coach on your avatar. On a Tennessee board, none the less. Just wondering.... IF U R A VOL FAN GET IT OFF DUDE....GBO

That was a completely dumb post. Look closer at the pic, it is to make fun of 3rd and Chavis. Thanks for your concern.

Good for Rogan. I hope he does well at Tampa. I believe they are going back to the Tampa 2 this upcoming year. That probably helped him get selected by the Bucs. I will watch for him at the exhibition games.

Minimum salary of $310,000. Unreal.

I suspect that is if they make the team. I would be surprised if FA get that on weekly basis out of the gate until they make the team. I'm not sure if players get paid their salaries except just during the season. They probably get some type of living expenses until salary kicks in.

Haven't researched this in quite a while and it certainly could be different but this is kind of what I recall...

From what I understand it depends on the team, some teams structure their pay during the season, others structure it where the players are payed throughout the entire year.

i'm almost positive players only get paid for the 17 weeks of the season and then additional pay for each round of the playoffs. so rogan will not be getting paid until he is on a week 1 roster.

Bill Bates ran a 4.8 40
Interesting article on one of my favorite UT players.
Some people work so hard when they get the opportunity they just can't be ignored. Hopefully Dennis can make it too.

Yes, but Bates played back in the stone age, figuratively speaking. The game has gotten faster and it would be problematic whether his desire would enable him to play, especially starting, in today's game, given his lack of speed and quickness, with the possible exception of specially devised defensive schemes. Hopefully, Rogan won't go out and buy an expensive set of wheels like most players seem to do, and instead concentrate on his family obligations with his salary.
