Dennis Dodd: Eason will have an up game vs Vols

Eason's a freakin' freshman out of the Pacific Northwest, we have a beautiful mind as our DC, you really think he's going to allow a freshman to do that to him?

I typically like listening to Dodd but I don't get this. What's he basing this on? Eason, who was awful last week is gonna turn it around and be really good this week because Tennessee kicked the crap out of Florida last week? That's not enough IMO. He'll still be playing behind an atrocious OL and against a very talented UT DL. I just don't see it. I can see Eason making some plays, maybe even throwing a couple TDs, maybe even some deep completions. But at the end of the day I think we hit him a lot, sack him several times and force him into 2-3 turnovers. Vols are gonna win tomorrow pretty comfortably and the Eason "coming out party" is gonna have to wait for at least one more week.

ESPN hates us. That's how we do this, right?

Well, in this case it's ... CBS hates us.

Not only does he "write" for CBS, the game is on CBS... coincedence, I think not.

While I can not stand Vern Lundquist, I am glad it is not on ABC though, I will actually be able to see the score and down and distance.

Even after adjusting settings, I could only partially see score.

Looks like a first class priss to me.

I don't know if we should be talking about the appearance of a quarterback. Dobb's lack of eyebrows can be disconcerting at times. But then again, it's an opposing QB, so flame away.

That's something he can't help and Dobbs doesn't come across as a person who thinks they're "better" than everyone else. Totally incomparable and disrespectful to be exact.

Our Dline has to dominate for us to win.

Agreed..If he gets time to throw the whole game our secondary will get the brakes beaten off them. Our Corners and secondary do not match up well against their receivers. That will be the area of the game that can get us beat.Another reason the next 2 weekends could be hard to watch. A'M and Ala have even better receivers than GA and our secondary could be in for long games the next 2 weekends after this one. Just not good matchups for us at all. Hell we got scorched a good bit against a FL team with an average at best back up QB and only 1 good WR that was banged up.It gets harder this week but the next 2 games will be huge mismatches against several elite and future NFL receivers. Another reason we absolutely have to win this game against UGA.

Don't think making fun of a kid because of a disease he has is a very classy thing to do. Living in Ala I called out a bunch of classless, imbred Ala fans last year when we played for that exact reason. They were talking and making fun of him because of his eyebrows and hair. Of course they didn't know he had alopecia but didn't care and continued doing it after they won. That is someone's son and it isn't like he can control nor did he ask to have that. I expect that from Alabubba but not our own fan base. Stay classy bro.

keep hearing about us not playing a full game but have these pundits watched UGA at all? They havent played a complete game either. Why does this not seem to matter to them? They are giving up 5 more points per game than they score for the year and we are +12 or so. We are much better than them. Nobody is intimidated by Sanford Stadium either. Its not loud. ill hang up and listen.

I am really scared that Sheena Easton will have a big game tomorrow.

Kudos on the fast correction. If his Oline plays well he may give them a chance.
They oline didn't show up against Ole Miss. Barnett and the boys will terrorize baby face Eason all day long. We gone whip they ass.

He had 55 attempts against Mizzou and had a total of 28 points, where is all this danger if he does throw it a lot????

and their O Line is trash. Worse than ours. If they think thats what they are gonna do then good luck. Shoop will figure that out and they will kill Eason. Tyler Catalina, their OT cant block anyone. Charles Harris had 3 sacks on him. Haynes killed him last week and hes 225lbs.

You'd think with all the scaredy cat knee clackers on VN worried about Eason airing it out would get a sense that a 55 attempt game is somewhere in the neighborhood of what Dan Marino used to do and come away with >50 points and >400 yds passing. 55 attempts and 28 points, seems pretty doggone skimpy for someone slinging it around all day. Let him sling it against the Vols!!
