Been following this team for so many years/decades now. Awesome highs and we experienced so many. The lows were LOW! Beatings from AL and FL (Memphis once) took their tolls. Then we fell from our pedestal. Even Vandy beat us then. I experienced a true low! It hurt but not quite as bad as before because we were so low and I didn't expect as much as I once did. When you expect greatness anything less really is painful. When you expect moderate success losses hurt but deep down inside you sorta expected it. I never fully drank the cool aid this year. Thought it was a little premature. I did expect this team to beat FL. Yesterday's loss hurt the most I have experienced in a long time. Victory was ours!!! Now that I have cooled down it has eased off a little. I still realize we are a building team. A big win will must happen this season. We should be 4-0 but it's a game and things happen. Hardest part of rebuilding is learning how to win again. At the end of the season if we still have not won against good teams I will be like many and scream for change. But it's crazy to do that now. Being complacent and constant instability was what put us on our worst run since the pigskin has been carried in K Town. The last thing we need is to shake things up right now. Give this staff and team more time. It's not what we wanted but it's the best thing we can do. The talent is there and aging. The coaching staff can recruit and even win at times. Give them more time PLEASE! Next year at this time I will not be so fast to dismiss things like this but I have learned patience with this program and what's a few more games. It took a decade to get this low and it's going to be a long time getting back totally on our feet. We will be mighty again. A big win later this season will heal some wounds!

"Battered vol syndrome. Common here in Tennessee but has been creeping its way to Austin. Two advil and jack daniels every saturday should help. Copay is 40 bucks. Have a good one"

Just trying to lighten the mood. I agree. Give butch some more time because a coaching change would not help anything right now.

I agree.....dear Lord, please don't let us have to go thru the COACHING SEARCH again!!! The players deserve our support....there were questionable coaching decisions but the team was in a position to win at the end....a missed field goal is not the coaches' fault! But for our missed FG, McEllwain might be on the hot seat! When they make every fourth down , that's on the players....of course coaches calling TO allowed them time to get their play set. I am as frustrated as any long time TN fan.....beginning to think I will be SIX FEET UNDER before we have a great season and restore our reputation! I hate the thought of dumping another coach and searching for another and then going thru another RE-Building! This is our team and our coaching staff....we don't need to turn on them....they can still have a good season but may not be too motivated if we bad mouth all of them! Have some class fans and it may work out better than we think right now....if not, decisions can be made later, NOT in the middle of the season !!!

lots of teams feel very sorry for us. its pathetic, im sorry but ut football isn't near what it was 15 years ago, and if you're hanging on to that, i will call you a maggit. just like the bammers before saban, they feed on things that have been dead a long time.
