Not to make light of the passing but that's pretty cool that he was able to build a relationship with any of his great-grandparents. All mine either passed before I was born or shortly after. Either way sad story. Sorry to hear that.

I have a pic of me when I was a baby, five generations. Great great grandmother.

Wow. I only knew one great grandparent, Gram Allen, up in Strong, Maine. Great memories, fresh made donuts and the old wood stove.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. We laid her to rest today. She was 93 so she lived a great life. She was even able to live to see a great great grandchild born.
