At every home game this year we are honoring a vol from the 98 year. At the Florida game Deion Grant will be recognized. He is a vol great, but wouldn't Al Wilson be a better choice?

Wouldn't spelling his name correctly in the thread title be a better choice?

I was thinking maybe Wilson would be too, but Grant will get the crowd up

Isn't Eric Berry/Deon Grant on the ticket?

Al Wilson I think is by himself on the Bama tix. Don't worry, Al will be honored.

It's too bad we don't play UGA at home this year so they could show some of the approximately 387 times that Al Wilson hit Quincy Carter during that game.

And we could thank UGA for Grant, Cosey Coleman, and for favoring Jasper Sanks over Jamal Lewis.

Are we honoring the player(s) that had the biggest impact in the game in '98 against the same opponent we are playing this year? If not, why does it matter when they are honored?

Maybe Grant is a stand-in for a certain other outstanding Vol DB from '98 who won't be able to attend due to...well..certain legal difficulties.
