Yes, and if they are both true, we are actually on pace for 12 subway deaths out of a billion-plus riders which is fewer than recent years (and again, I assume safer than driving)

The article mentions that was more than years past if I read it correctly. Also, increased numbers of assaults. To be fair, that was what you asked the poster to do was provide you with stats to back up his claims about subway transit, if I followed the conversation correctly.

"The poster"'s point was that NYC is missing Giuliani because of all the crime. Once that was shown to be as far from the truth as possible, he pivoted to "oh no right wing tabloid tells me subway very scary bc 12 deaths out of a billion" which is not a good deflection either

There was over 100 interstate shootings in Memphis in 2023....

1 murder per month on subway sounds like Mayberry in comparison
