Deficit up 17%

Nope. I hopped on that train when the right wing propaganda machine was continually brainwashing their minions into actually believing that republicans were "fiscally responsible" and the democrats were "tax and spend."
There are probably morons on this site that still believe that nonsense.

Check out the data and see for yourself that I am correct.................or.... continue on in your brainwashed delusions.
Right dude. You, like most left wingers, don't understand the difference between percentage increase and actual amount increase. I've had to be a math teacher here for a few of yall before and I'll gladly do it again.
1,000,000,000,000 to 3,000,000,000,000 is an increase of 200%! HOLY SMOKES REPUBLICANS ARE SO EVIL!!

9,000,000,000,000 to 14,000,000,000,000 is an increase of 55%! DIMS SO FISCAL AND RESPONSIBLE AND SMURT WIth MATH!

Now..get a pad of paper and a pencil, you're going to need it, for the critical thinking involved to deduce which increase is worse. Its a timed 3 hour test so....you might be cutting your answer close. I'll deduct points for every hour late you are.

Trump said he would eliminate the National Debt in eight years. Maybe Mexico can write us a check for $22 Trillion. Typical Republicans, always spending other people's money.
In pesos or dollars? Because that makes a big difference for Mexico..

It's all eventually going to trickle down from the mega rich to the coal miner. What did Bush call that? Voodoo Economics?

The sad thing is that they fall for it every time despite there being a mountain of evidence to the contrary.

So..can any of you anti people with money types explain the disdain for those who do better than you? Is it just jealously? Envy? Concern for your fellow non White non cis gendered huperson? Or like a virtue signaling thing masking ones own failures?

so like one person here knows the Constitution.

The power of the purse is a function of Congress.

none of them cut the spending, but blaming Trump at this point is laughable.

Cutting spending is an empty campaign promise that no one really should believe anymore. No one..NO ONE..does it. One group is just more willing to steal more money from Citizens than the other...usually to help non citizens.

I’ve been studying ancient Roman tax policy for a week now. (Don’t ask why) but the Roman Emperor Julian the Apostate was the first to practice trickle down economics. But it’s not what most would think it is. Julian put in a tax policy that cut taxes for the poor and middle class and increased taxes on the wealthy and he reduced their tax deductions. This resulted in an economic boom because the lowers and middle classes had more money in the pockets to spend and an increase in funds to the Roman treasury became the wealthy were made to pay their actual percentage of taxes. Trickle down economics.

Trump is the one who either signs or vetos the spending legislation. He is the one who sends congress a projected budget for the government. He is the one who advocated and signed into law a $1 trillion tax cut.

"The debt figure has been rising at a faster pace following passage of $1.5 trillion tax cuts in December 2017 and action by Congress last year to increase spending on domestic and military programs."

National debt hits new milestone, topping $22 trillion

The problem with that is the lower class pays zero in taxes.
