And honestly they just looked way better. Yep they let teams score a lot of points, however they definitely did a much better job of putting the team in a position to win. They did their part in the Georgia game and kept them bottled up enough to keep Tennessee in the game. Same with Florida (although not as impressive of an opponent), South Carolina, Missouri, and Kentucky. And as someone said above, next year should only be brighter. I am just hoping we see the same jump in quality on the offensive side next year as we saw with the defense this year.

If th offense had been more efficient, those figures would have been much more impressive.

This gets me excited for next season's D. I could see this D being top 5 in the SEC next year. We will also have a little bit of depth next year on D on top of that the competition is going to be crazy this off season.

Let's face it the D-Line won the USC game in overtime. Those two sacks were HUGE! If the 2015 class of D-Lineman can come in and give us quality reps there is no reason this defense does not get statistically better for the next several years.

Let's face it the D-Line won the USC game in overtime. Those two sacks were HUGE! If the 2015 class of D-Lineman can come in and give us quality reps there is no reason this defense does not get statistically better for the next several years.

Those 2 sacks were incredible....but I would say they more preserved the win that the offense gave us. After all, our defense gave up 42 pts and 625 yds.....while our offense put up 35 first downs, 645 yds and 45 points.

Oh what the heck.....lets just call it complimentary football and call it a great, pivotal team win.

I think our D was certainly improved (overall) this season. It looked like the season took its toll on them, though. They should only get better from here on out.
